Orcas off the Farne Islands, Northumberland.

The orcas have only appeared since Reform got in. Must have previously been scared off by Labours Armada of nail technicians, Turkish barbers, vape shop workers, and drug dealers.

I think it would put me off using the Farne boats. Proper evil bastards aren't they. Happily target boats of people as well

Apparently the pod is known as "27's pod", named after the lead female.

They normally live around Shetland and Orkney but in last few years they have headed further South in the Spring.

From Google:

"The 27s pod is one of the most famous and frequently observed orca families in the British Isles. Known as part of the Northern Isles Community, they are semi-residents who spend most of their time patrolling the waters around the Shetland and Orkney islands, as well as the Caithness coast on the Scottish mainland"

I always makes me chuckle. The original inhabitants of that area were clearly not daft enough to live right on the coast in the fresh North Seas breezes and only kept their boats on the beach at a spot that is now called Seahouses. It was only with the coming of tourists that Seahouses really took off.

Seahouses must have doubled in size in the last 50 years as back in the day from sea front you could see North Sunderland as a distinctive settlement a half mile up the road.

South siders are still not welcome there like.

It was originally called Sutherland, as in the land South of Bamburgh. During the Industrial Revolution when Sunderland started to grow massively, the North was added.

The harbour is officially North Sunderland Harbour, the lifeboat used to be but they changed it to Seahouses after the Coastguard called them out, thinking they were on the North bank of the Wear.

There were some buildings down by the sea, Seafield Farmhouse and what is now the Ship Inn, was also a farmhouse.

There also another Seahouses, in-between Howick and Boulmer.

aye Glad the "Killer Whale" name has been dropped, only ever one reported case of attacking a human in the wild which was apparently mistaken identity, not that i ever really want to be in the water with them to find out mind.

The only time they have killed humans has been in captivity.

One of the Shiels lads was on Tyne Tees earlier, the skipper. Said that was the 2nd time they've spotted them

Must be about 4th generation

Not a cheap thing now is a boat to the Farnes like. Sure it was neck on £100 last time I was at Seahouses with the 3 kids. And we didn't bother at that price after a fish n chip dinner had cost me about a week's pay

It is a fantastic trip though. First went with school.
