Kevin Keegan

Good luck KK, other than obvious mag bias, always thought he was a decent bloke

Yeah, a proper 'football man'. He switched off from the game when he retired to Spain, but still seems the sort who'd get into a chat with a fan who wanted to share his pleasantries - and still be there half an hour later talking about whether Gazza was better than Bobby Charlton or something.

Wish him all the best.
"Oh come off it Bob, man. I ain't done .... all,,, I've been hit in the face twice:mad:!"

In fairness, he looked a bit useful, too! 😁

Poor Fellow
He had his detractors as a player and manager but I thought he seemed very genuine and was passionate about the game
Very old school
Hope he pulls through

Going through simmilar recently with a parent in 60s who went to doctors with sore throat swallowing and diagnosed stage 4. Cancer is an absolute bastard and thoughts and prayers with Keegan and his family. Just shows how irrelevant football and most things in life are when it comes down to it

Who were his detractors? I only remember him being the superstar of the age for Liverpool and England. Keegan and Toshack.

Very sorry for him. I hope he doesn't have to suffer.

Remember that interview after the England game when he quit.
Had nothing but respect for him after that.
Humbly admitting in front of the whole country you're not up for the job takes a lot of guts

hope he beats the horrible f***ing disease
He was a bit of a boxer as a teenager. He also proved he was tough when he was on Superstars. What a show that was, can you imagine the likes of Rice, Haarling, et al being allowed to do that?
aye Billy Bremner found out as well

Very sad, was always one of my England heroes when I was a young boy. World class player. Hopefully he can respond to treatment.

I can't ever remember a more humble resignation/sacking and I'm well in my 70's.

Dream job, manager of England and putting his own head on the block admitting he wasn't up to it rather than padding it out and waiting for the nice, comfortable pay out from the FA. That must have taken some guts.
