And with Rooney wasn't his best period like 2004 to 2007/08-
Rooney was a bit of a special footballer because he was so complete in his skillset- the closet we've ever come to Maradona in that regard.
Rooney's problem was that he ended up being eclipsed by Cristiano Ronaldo at Man Utd. and his England teams always underperformed in the end.
And with Rooney wasn't his best period like 2004 to 2007/08-

Andy Johnson for Palace or Dean Ashton for Norwich.
That match against Arsenal in the FA Cup final is the furthest footballing memory I can vividly remember. He was unreal in that last 15 minutes.
