Aye someone else mentioned him too, he'd be up there with Evans, Bould etc. I'd not swap him for our 3 now.Mensah

Xhaka is great, but Rice is far above him. There’s only Rodri at Man City that keeps Xhaka out of any side in the prem in that deep midfield position. No other team in the league has a better option.

You can’t be serious?? Within 4 starts my thoughts were “he’s far too good to be playing for us” he’s since went on playing most of the season as a stand out player and yet somehow… you can come out with this?
Not watching the same sport us

They’d complement each other very wellEh
Different players, different roles. Rice can't play the deep role anything like GX. Both Arteta and Tuchel let him bomb on instead now.
He's actually been good for England as a result.
Forgot about him to be fair. He was class at our place. Not sure I’d say he’s far above Xhaka though. I don’t think Arsenal drop off with GX replacing Rice.Xhaka is great, but Rice is far above him.
In fairness the fee for Mignolet was huge for a keeper at the time. It’s still, almost unbelievably, well within the top 50 most expensive the fees ever for a keeper.Utterly agree
Saw Monty make countless errors and howlers, especially from long distance shots and crosses
He was good on one on one and close up reflex
Never rated Gordon, he was like a rabbit in the headlights especially against teams who mixed it up like Stoke
Turner was meh
Pickford and Sorensen were good GK’s. I thought Mig was brilliant and sad to see him go for a giveaway price. Given was good but was always in shop window and Cant blame him for chasing the money but his move up the road irked me big time
Thought Xhaka got forward a lot more than usual v Chelsea.Eh

I never watched Monty but wholly disagree with your assessment of Gordon. He cost 9m and was blamed for every goal he conceded as a result. There was a section of the crowd who wouldn't let it go during his entire time here.Utterly agree

He'd been man marked by Chelsea and then took it upon himself to make runs forward at pace, several of themThought Xhaka got forward a lot more than usual v Chelsea.
I was too young for Bould and Evans was still starting his career with us. If we had him from around 25 we might look at it slightly differently.Aye someone else mentioned him too, he'd be up there with Evans, Bould etc. I'd not swap him for our 3 now.

Mensah was top quality and I think Wes Brown was under rated, but as this subject has shown it only takes one season to put half the current team into an all time 11.
I might be on the wrong side of the Nordi love in also as I think he gets lost at full back on many occasions defensively. He has so many great attributes and there is no doubt he can be an exceptional player, but I think he can do much more as he is such a physical specimen.
I agree that Nordi suits CB best. Our whole defensive unit at the moment is as capable as any other in the Prem I believe.IMO Mukiele is much better than Mensah or Brown, I would have him ahead of them every time. Same with Ballard and Alderete.
We're blessed with 3 fantastic CB's.
It’s a pity Mukiele or Alderete don’t offer the same ariel threat as Ballard doesI didn't say that. I said he probably isn't picked in the best back 4 / team ..
I'd have Gerty, Nordi, Alderete, Reinildo as a starting back 4 ...
Ballard possibly a better defender than Mukiele ... but that back 4 IMHO is stronger than
Nordi, Ballard, Alderete, Reinildo
IMHO !!!!
Agreed but it was noticeable watching last season that plenty teams let Ballard have the ball. Doesn't offer any threat . Yet Nordi capable of going on mad rambles and can play his way out of trouble far better than Ballard can. It’s a pity Mukiele or Alderete don’t offer the same ariel threat as Ballard does
I think the Arsenal defence would disagree, scored a cracking goal at Sol.Agreed but it was noticeable watching last season that plenty teams let Ballard have the ball. Doesn't offer any threat . I mean..Ballard..no threat with ball at his feet in defence. Obviously he's a menace in the airI think the Arsenal defence would disagree, scored a cracking goal at Sol.
Also we look much more dangerous from long throws when he’s in the team
