Raheem Sterling

We spend a lot of time talking about men's mental health and then continue to take the piss out of players. Hope he gets the help he needs.
Sorry like but if he thinks he's had a couple of tough years he's living in a f***ing dream world. He's a multi millionaire. People have had cancer, been made redundant, lost their house and all kinds of other real shit. The bloke has had a dip in his career. Big deal.

Does it excuse him being arrested for being under drug influence with drugs in car and dangerous driving and not giving a specimen?

Thank fuck it's not an accident involving other innocent drivers we're reading about and he's just pranged his Lamborghini into some barriers.

I get he may have had shit and I get it can affect him mentally but surely he had enough money to walk away at some point and do something he enjoys? He was still on £325,000 a week when he left Chelsea but there's many 1,000's of people out there that have just as much shit to deal with mentally with but have no option to continue to stay in a job.

Not that I think he is anywhere near Gazza’s level as a player or level of damaged goods but his drop off has been pretty quick. One minute his England record was something like 16 in 20 games ( might not be as good as that). Fell out of favour with club and country and never recovered.

Hard to navigate HE HAS DONE WRONG! Must be punished. BUT regardless of how rich he is, if he is struggling to cope with perceived failure or scared of what the future holds he needs help. In this instance one can lead into the other. Thankfully no one hurt and hopefully he can see a better future. ZERO excuse for his actions

Spoken like someone who hasn't been through consistent mental health issues.

Money doesn't buy happiness and the stress and pressure on high level athletes is often underestimated. They are still human, they can still suffer from depression, sorrow and addiction.

Scratching my head at this like. Sterling might just be being a bellend, but that doesn't warrant your conclusion. I guess the OP has managed to get the responses he craved though.

There’s always someone worse off than you but that’s not the point. And neither’s the fact he has loads of money

It’s an easy excuse isn’t it
So because someone is a millionaire footballer they can't have a mental health problem. Crikey man, it’s mad how we still have people thinking like that these days.
No, they just can’t drive their Lamborghini while under the influence
