I'm always bothered by unnecessary deaths, however they occur. I also understand that adrenalin, chaos & the human brain can make dreadfully bad decisions. I assume the cops involved are devastated & there'll be an ongoing investigation.

Completely ballsed up would be a deliberate act caught on camera which led to a death. None or these things happened as far as anyone else knows so I'm wondering why you're still fighting this corner now except to state there's a little bit of stubbornness in you that you can't let go of.

As if making honest mistakes should result in the public outcry like this man, there is no equivalence needed but people are losing all perspective because they're actively looking for something deeper than a few coppers doing their jobs

Lets be totally honest this thread is either full of people who want it to be racially motivated by the police or whos online algorithms have moulded them to be primed for 2 tier policing crack, it's a horrible thing that happened but it's becoming a story because of reform and their ilk who own the media want it to be.

I honestly can't believe that they think the murder of a young lad who was handcuffed whilst bleeding to death is a story only because the owners of some media outlets want it to be.

Utterly bizarre.

It's actually quite funny how different the response is when the police have apparently wronged a non white person.

If you feel like this is a story that's being overhyped by politics i would love to hear your thoughts on george floyd.

The police themselves have said they cocked up.

How can you put someone in cuffs who have said they have been stabbed and had been five times. It's so ridiculous in that type of circumstance you need the footage to vindicate you, not the other way round.

But I imagine when you turn up you probably subconsciously are on the side of the person of who has rang 999 and asked for you to come.

I can't imagine it being normal for the perpetrators to call 999 after one of them has just stabbed someone with an illegal weapon

And I think we are now at the crux of the issue. Someone has stabbed someone and cried wolf and the police have immediately believed them. I don’t think if I called the police and said you have hit me, I don’t think they would immediately cuff you. They’d likely separate us and start investigating.

It’s a terrible position they’ve created with tensions so inflamed at the moment and will unfortunately help the likes of reform/restore with their two tier rhetoric.

That's also the Crux of it, it would depend what either of us were doing when they arrived. If one person is kicking off and jumping around causing the situation to be unmanageable, then maybe a temporary measure is to handcuff and subdue people. Not saying that the victim here was going they by the way
