Recruitment as well, they spent way too much up top while they had the bomb scare of konate and an ageing before our eyes VVD. They should’ve just payed what it took to get guehi.

It's definitely a tough job and their players have underperformed this season. They should only ever be a handful of points off the top though...their squad is good enough to be.

I think Jota and Diaz have both been big misses for them and the players that replaced them just aren't as good.

I know they arent the same players exactly but I think Wertz is as good if not better than Jota, Ekitike and Isak getting injured really screwed them over as Salah has been pathetic this season but without those 2 they dont really have anything else. The liverpool fans were wanting him to just throw Ngumoha in at every opportunity but hes 16 and 2 bad games could ruin the lad. Selling Diaz and giving Salah a new contract were bad decisions but I expect those were above Slot.

Huge job for whoever gets it, no doubt they'll spend more money but they need to be challenging for titles.
 
Handled the Salah situation badly but I still think he’s a very good coach. He will go somewhere else and do well. Not sure Iraola will make the step up if it is indeed him they go for. Could be another Graeme Potter.
 
Reckon this might be the first of several over the next few years as they do a post Ferguson Man United rerun.

Once you start sacking managers it's hard to stop.

Whoever messed up the Guehi deal should be sacked, they missed out on a top level player due to messign around and now they need 2 at the same time as VVD will be gone in a season unless he wants his legacy to crumble.

Was mad he’d pretty much signed then they fucked around. They’ve been absolutely shocking at the back, konate away in a free as well as you say ageing vvd gonna be expensive to sort out. Think they’ve paid a ton for a young lad from France. They can keep away from our lot.
