Cup, League or Europe?

League Cup team from current squad:
Patterson
Pembele
Seelt
Hjelde
Alese
Masuaku
Ba
Aleksic
Browne
Hemir
Rusyn

We'll go far!
We got 51 points this season getting 45 Wedve regressed
Need to get another least 5 points this season each season to say we’ve improved imo
I'd take 45 points and a good run in Europe.

Also need to consider that 51 points never normally gets close to 7th and not expect too much as a baseline, and other teams (e.g Chelsea) will be better.

I thought Masuaku left?

We got about 50 million euros for winning the Europa League in total.

Thats hardly "no real money".

Well worth going deep in.
It was about £45M according to Google but still more than I thought.

However, you still earned more for the league. Wolves got £118M for finishing bottom, you received about £64M (£182M) more for finishing 4th. They only get about £50M in parachute money next season. You'll get well over £300M over 2 seasons, they are losing about £70M for being relegated.

The League must still be our priority. We can see how we are going in the Europa and play a far stronger side if we need to in the later games of the league stage.

Europa League has to be our priority next season. As one of the PL sides in the competition we have an outside chance of winning it. That would be absolutely massive.

I would take a top 14 finish next season if it meant we did well in the cups.

We have to go for the FA Cup aswell, it is a massive trophy!

I want us to genuinely play our reserves in the League Cup and if we get knocked out we get knocked out.

Someone will be asking this at some point so I'll save them the time and do it for them.

Which one do you want to see the lads progress in?

A decent FA cup would suit me, just reaching the fifth round proper would be nice.
Exactly the type of “supporter” who was happy with mid table in the championship or 17th in the Prem. Luckily (not literally) a dying breed.

Play our best available side in every game and see where it takes us.

It’s ok saying prioritise this cup or that cup but even as a club that have improved as much as us we’re at the mercy of a draw. Man City or Arsenal away in the domestic cups and chances are we’re out.

Likewise in the Europa, I fancy us to progress to the knockout stages but once there, the draw could then pit us against a Bayer Leverkuson which would be a huge ask.

KLD has said he wants to establish the club as a regular top ten premier league side. That for me would be another great season next time out.

My dream is win the Europa and the Mags finish 5th but because we qualify for the CL they get fucked off
The mags wouldn’t miss out in this situation. Both 5th and the Europa league winner would get CL football.

We got 54. Getting 5 more points would be closer to CL form. Getting a decent high 40s whilst doing Europe and the cups would be an improvement in itself, isn’t all purely about the league

Europa with a big emphasis on getting as high in the league. There is s very song cheng of winning it and imagine the melting after winning a European trophy at the first attempt in over 50 years when the Mags have had multiple attempts at it and failing.

Key for me is to get off to a flyer in the league. A similar start to this season and we can start focusing more on Europe when we’re halfway safe by the end of October again.

If we have a slow league start then that’s where we’ll start struggling as we can’t then focus on anything but the league.

Tricky without sounding big headed!

This season I’d be happier to progress in the league and enjoy a run in Europe.

The league brings money, recognition and European qualification.

The higher our profile, the stronger we become. Trophies will follow.

If only football were this simple 😃

If we are languishing around that end of the league, Regis won’t be here in 12 months time
If we want a good run on Europe we need to set our league expectations lower look at where clubs in europe finished in table this season
The mags, palace, forest & spurs all finished in the bottom half of the table

All 3.

First XI trying to win Europa.
First XI and better back up maintaining league position.
Better back up and squad players pushing on in domestic cups.

I'm desperate for us to maintain league position, falling out of the PL would be catastrophic after the way we've made our way back there BUT we have to give Europa a huge crack. It's very winnable and if nothing else massively raises the clubs profile too. I've waited all my adult life to see us qualify and there's no guarantee when we might qualify again, hopefully it becomes a regular thing. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

But I was gutted at how we bowed out with a whimper against Vale. Absolutely shocking. I know the domestic cups are massively devalued now and potentially harder to win but I would love to see us lift the League Cup and the FA Cup (again) in my lifetime.
