Mourinho - signs 3 year deal @ Real Madrid

I'm amazed they've took him back, after the ructions and chaos, he caused, last time he was there, falling out with club legends, like Sergio Ramos, Ronaldo, and falling out with Kaka, Ozil, and Benzema, as well as freezing out legendary goalie, Iker Casillas.
He's the only coach Florentino Pérez has ever really liked. He was key for Guardiola getting tired of the stress, bad feeling and constant pressure of managing Barça. He was the "anti-guardiola". Now he has to be the "anti-flick"

Weirdly, they probably need someone like him to go in there and put a few players heads through a wall.

It seems even more toxic than usual and there's a very "kids acting up for the substitute teacher whilst their actual teacher is away" vibe.

Whilst he's clearly one of the best managers of all-time, ordinarily I'd be saying his time has been and gone and this is a bit desperate, but it might actually suit their current circumstances and work out.

They've actually done this quite a few times.

The last time they hired John Toshack in 1999 it was a decade after he'd managed them. It was absolutely understood by all concerned that they were sacking the previous bloke as a failure, writing the season off and bringing Toshack in to crush the egos in the dressing room ready for the new manager at the beginning of the next season.

Which is exactly what he did, he lasted months.

The whole Galacticos thing doesn't work anymore. Signing superstars (and there isn’t many genuine ones nowadays) and shoehorning them in to any position is so outdated.... especially when Barcelonas conveyor belt is operating properly again. Be interesting to see who he goes for in the market.
