Canny harsh to judge him on last season in that Chelsea team. The season before at Ipswich I thought he was class and has been promising throughout he's development. He's actually the type of player we'd target... See jack Clarke, Patrick Roberts etc.

Just my opinion though. I think both those two would be great signings and I definitely don't know what the club will do.

So that's 16 players there. Obviously I've left Patterson in and he may well be sold but home grown quota is a thing. I've also left out Ta Bi and Ellborg (as well as Matty young) who could play a part. Looking at that squad though I think we will sign a RB, LB, CDM and two wingers or one winger and one striker because Isidor can play LW.

Note - we have been linked with Wan-Bissaka and I think he would be an exceptional addition to the squad and how we play. I don't think kondogbia would be the best move though because I'd prefer a development player under Xhaka... Hopefully that's Bouaddi.

Now that we need academy players it might be worth keeping Patto as back-up and loaning out Ellborg though. I'm sure Patto would be adequate back-up too, Ellborg did ok in the team but was a bit scary at times, I wouldn't say that he's miles better than Patto, if at all. He might be one day but I can't see it at the moment.

I rank them in the same order as you, certainly long term anyway, it's just because the requirements have now changed that we need home grown players I think it's something we could change without weakening the squad too much. It would probably also benefit Ellborg if he could get a good loan where he plays a lot.

It's not that simple because if we do as you suggest and roefs gets injured we would have patto playing in prem which would cost us, just got to trust the club to know what they are doing, I would love us to sign Elliott and Wilson which would help with the issue.
