Fergie was interviewed on Rad5 the week before that season started and when asked:
1/ Which PL transfer is the most interesting of the window replied Joolio Arca.
2/ Which PL transfer is the best bargain of the window sreplied Stan Varga.

Apparently he's stalling signing a new contract and it's up in 2027. We can get him for cheaper this summer.

We need another quality CB, Ballard is injury prone and Alderete could have done with a rest recently as he hasn't been as good in some games. Injuries have killed our European push, you need depth and rotation in the premier league.

I don’t really agree about cover. Of course Reinildo and Mukiele can play there but then we are weaker at fullback and neither are actually CB’s. We will be trying to find clubs for a fair few defenders too, I’d expect Huggins, Seelt, Hjelde, Alese and Cirkin to move on. We need 8 or 9 useable defenders and I reckon we’ve got 2x RB, 3x CB ( including O’Nien) and 1 LB assuming Geertruida doesn’t and Cirkin leaves.

Ballard has just signed a new contract and seems very happy here. I also think his injury record will put top clubs off. Not sure about the other 2, but would be gutted to lose either.

Two. Ballard and Alderete are excellent. As a versatile but reliable 5th choice O’Nien is perfect. I think signing Geertruida and a LCB would have us sorted at CB. Already sorted at RB but probably need a LB.
