SOL expansion

They couldn't. There's no way to service boxes there without adding infrastructure.

You could just build a daft kitchen/bar thing somewhere.

Isn't there a whole upper concourse that's barely used in the NSU? Just build a corridor at the back of the neu. They probably won't as it would reduce capacity, but they could. Look at the state of Derby to see how it could be done if need be.
I was told I was 1107 on the list back in March? Can't imagine I'll have much luck
Surprised you haven't had a call. I've got no idea what number I am.

No, level 1 and 3 are away supporters food/drinksn concourses and level 2 is 76 yards.

The whole stadium is designed for expansion, apart from the West Stand which was obviously done. At the back of the East/North stands it actually looks half finished. Bob Murray gets a bit of stick on here, but he had the foresight to see that we are capable of pulling in 50-60 k if successful and the stadium would be able to be easily expanded to accomodate this.
I think at the time that was partly done on the basis of an England bid to host the world cup (2006?) which never really materialised but the ground was designed to be able to host games for.

Do away supporters need both 1 and 3?

They could do it if they wanted to. They could pay people to bring food across from the west. Or have fridges filled instead of a bar service. I'm not saying it's likely, but it's possible. Just look at how there's access from the west stand to the the South stand boxes etc as an example of how it could be done, I'm theory.

Yeah I'm a bit surprised, knowing my luck they'll ring me when I'm at the local festival next month

Because the North Stand isnt as deep as the west stand the level 3 concourse is quite narrow so id say they need both 1 and 3 for 3100 away supporters.
Maybe. There's not as many away fans as there was though. Regardless. They could just turn the toilet area in the BCB into a kitchen/bar and make BCB people go to the other end, or take out some seating and shoehorn some more toilets elsewhere.

It gets to the point where they would probably just build a bit extra infrastructure though, but it's definitely a pretty cheap way to add a few boxes.

There's demand for extra regular capacity though so maybe an extension makes more sense. It's not my money though.

Everything is conjecture mate until designs, which there would be several of, are drawn up by the architect. No one knows what they would be. If cheap and cheerful is the aim, any when built facility in the ground for extention , would probably still need extensive analysis done on this. Regardless of any design, the boundaries needed in place would still prevail as in my original post.
If for instance we decided to extend as from now, all planning ,designs, agreement on designs, contractors, principal contractor, H&S executives, road ingress and egress while games take place, potential changes to original structure supports need to be factored in. It would be some feat to complete this in one season, not to mention the procurement of all specifically manufactured items.

Yeah. I'm just saying there's nothing to physically stop them adding boxes into the back of the east stand and NE corner and having a service corridor from the NSU.

Whether it's practical or not depends on the offering and how much BCB space they're willing to give up.

Yeah totally agree. What kind of extension will determine so many things, whether it’s costs and timescale and disruption.

40+ waiting list for boxes so would certainly make sense!

You’re wasting your time trying to explain even the basics to some marra. If summets not happening to them then it’s not happening to anyone. End of story as far as they’re concerned.
It’s difficult getting tkts together for one off family treats frinstance. Or for someone who doesn’t know well in advance if they can go or not. There’s dozens of other situations that are preventing fans not getting to games they may want to because of the stadium size. I just hope the owners aren’t of a similar mindset.
Everyone is in the same boat, so its happening as much to me as its happening to you or anyone else. Its the cost of success, i'd rather a scramble for tickets and a full house rather than having 20k vs Burton but having the freedom of the ground to sit where you want

The club needs to grow for sustainable financial growth. The expansion of the SoL will be factored into this. I expect that they are already looking at preliminary design briefs for expansion

As far as the waiting list is concerned it was just a free for all for people in phase 1 of the list no chronological order first come first served until they stopped selling them a few hours in. If I was you I'd give them a ring and see if you can get one your already on the list so you never know.
As AndrewP said they've rang him twice so there still not organised you've got nothing to loose.

Yeah. It might be worth calling and pretending you're calling them back.
