7 year old, travelled in the back of my Dad's mates transit van on plastic garden furniture.
Don't remember much of the game but vividly remember being shocked those nasty mancs were swearing at us.

Nope - first was the Centenary game vs England B team, second was Notts County and third was Bristol Rovers which is the first one on YouTube...

Yes, Sunderland 6-0 West Ham. 76/77 season. Lord Rowell scored two I think.

We'd just beaten WBA 6:1 in a midweek game, which I couldn't go to because my dad was working. Was gutted to have missed seeing them hit six, but come the Saturday....

Yes - and what a perfect introduction to supporting Sunderland. Dunno what Benno was doing for their equaliser:

Here it is sunlun v spurs 1990 0-0 I remember it so vividly, not the match but the sights shapes and noises from the Fulwell end as I was in the mainstand paddock had me hooked,
Gazza n Lineker had grabbed my football attention months beforehand at the world cup, by the end of this game it was Norman bennett and Marco who I loved

I'd been to games before this but wasn't that into it to the point i can't remeber the opposition and spent more time watching the crowd in astonishment and wondering why grown men went insane and asking my dad about swear words....this was the game it all clicked for me and I vividly remember though! When they lifted the trophy I thought

Started taking my kids in the last league 1 season....so they don't know they're born!
