Since Nottingham Forest thrashing

Wolves 1-1 should have won

Manchester United 0-0 should have won

Everton won 3-1

Chelsea won 2-1

What a comeback 👏

HAWAY THE LADS!!!!!!!!
Do you think regis changed something in the forest game and it never came off, tweaked it for all those games after and success

I thought that wolves game would be the one that threw it away. Should have have 12 points there in hindsight

It was a weird anomaly where everything they hit went in. We didn’t play well but their conversion rate was freakish. It wasn’t even close to being the thrashing it appeared but the record will say it was.
This. The stats show it to be fairly even overall.

They were still the better team on the night, but a 5-0 scoreline was a freak result. It happens and we moved on quick.

It's proper encouraging.

We dealt with AFCON (which we will have to do again), we dealt with injuries to key players, we dealt with stupid suspensions and in our first season we qualify for the Europa league and without the above, may have got Champions League.

Next season will be more of a challenge. We could be facing around 60 games however, there will be a raft of new arrivals to boost the squad further. Get recruitment and crucially retention right and the sky really is the limit.

We looked good for 15-20 mins and it appeared clear to me that we had set up with a different intent.

Losing a goal the way we did and the period around the half hour was like watching a Sunday league team against Premier opposition - I don't recall seeing a collapse quite like that.

The interesting thing is how a 5-0 home thrashing didn't seem to effect us in the games following.

Eight points from twelve and a 7th place with croissant sprinkles

How I see it. A freak tbh. They hit an absolute purple patch which they won't do again where everything they did hit the back of the net.

Given the club's best league season since...well I'd argue with Europe achieved since we were top 4 mid 50s, ironic we had our worst home defeat since 1958.

These things happen in the Premier League. We didn't adapt to the high press catching us playing out from the back. By the time we did, the game was already over. As always, you should look for a response, RLB and the players provided.

Once we secured safety we definitely went more on the front foot with a bit more risk taking. It was evident against villa also.
After the forest game, Hume was moved back to right midfield so perhaps that allowed us to continue with more attacking intent in general but also gave us a bit more support in defense. Not everyone will appreciate that opinion I’m sure.
