It would be an unreal achievement. Far bigger than this season which is why it’s very unlikely and 😂
 
he'll have signed for us expecting to be playing regularly to make his case for the world cup

he's been really underutilized and it's probably cost him a place in the squad. can't imagine he's over happy

The truth is I thought we could but the wolves game killed it for me.

You can see the quality, the energy, the togetherness and the fight. Maybe we should have been 6th. Villa game, wolves, Wilson miss vs Liverpool, Man Utd game we battered them.

Next year is a total different story. Big worry for me is anything happening to Xhaka.
We need to sign a CM, Geerty and better wingers. Since Cirkin isn’t signing we need another left back as well.
Plus you need to move on squad players and get better back ups. Going to be very difficult. Need 5-6 players probs.
I’d 100% be going for a couple free’s, rico henry being one of them.

You were laughing at people suggesting Europe back in February...

We have a top half starting XI. Keep hold of everyone and strengthen in a few key areas, and we can be just as strong again next season.

At the same time, there are no guarantees. He has to demonstrate to the manager that he's worth his place.

There's no reason to keep him from here. The manager didn't play him when he had limited options let alone when he had what he thought was his best eleven available, so you can't keep him around on a big salary when the likelihood is that he won't play much under the current manager.
