He still has a three game ban though, red carded in the last international break. Thought that might have meant a need to take Geertruida. Ahh well. He's still young enough to make the next one.

He's a really good player IMO but he is maybe not in their best 1 or 2 in any position, although he's probably 3rd/4th in loads

Aye exactly and when you’ve got 15 players on the bench, versatility isn’t necessarily a priority

Who does ake play for now? Is he still at city can’t remember seeing him much this season. I think he’s very unlucky there given how he can cover three spots. Glad for roefs and brobbey.

Man City. He's left sided so covers a different area.

We had the chat upthread but I think you want to be one of the top 2 players in each position to be guaranteed a place (which he isn't). Otherwise you're hoping you might come as a versatile player but they have that in Wieffer who has probably taken his place. Then you might take versatility/wild cards higher up the pitch. He is probably borderline but I'm not surprised he hasn't gone
