How the Europa League works

Well theoretically playing more teams in lower pots is an advantage
We can get the 2nd division Portuguese team that did a Wigan if you want to feel like going to Cheltenhak again.
But we play 2 teams in each of the 4 pots regardless of what pot we are in?

Only slight disadvantage I can see is that we’d have more possible opponents to draw from pots 1 and 2.

I don’t know if it’s been said but thanks so much to @Adzy for this:

The top 8 progress automatically to the last 16.

Teams 9th-24th is a two legged playoff against one of the other teams from 9th to 14th. Higher placed teams take on lower ranked teams. Sound familiar?

Finish 25th-32nd and you go out.

UEFA also award 6 extra points for the team who has the most mint fans in the competition. They also give a goal head start for any team with the loudest home stadium.

Few typos there from you, OP got it fully laid out if you're still having trouble 😅

Why? Just why? 😢😢

I only copied and rewrote out what YOU said. So if you want to f***ing well laugh at someone laugh at yourself

Nowt but a pathetic little bully.
Haha you must be having me on now. I messaged you about 4 times the other day about the Europa to the point where I thought you were trolling me by pretending not to understand
He’s got me on ignore I think
Aye think he's trolling me haha, explained it in depth multiple times to him....only typo I made was saying 32 teams instead of 36

apart from SKYSCANNER is there a website that lists which airports fly direct to which city ..
I know airports cannot fly, but you know what a mean!

Presumably all four home tickets are being sold as a package?
My voluntary redundancy/early retirement plans are dependent on this!!!! I am going for broke and could end up homeless and divorced!!!!!

Maccabi Tel Aviv won the isreal cup yesterday so they are confirmed into the 2nd Qualifying Round.

only one more team left to be decided - winner of the Cyprus Cup between Apollon and Pafos on Friday - then the entire line-up for the first and second qualifying rounds are confirmed

1st QF
QarabagAzerbaijan
ClujRomania
SplitCroatia
VojvodinaSerbia
ZilinaSlovakia
DerryIreland
Dyanamo KievUkraine
AluminijSlovenia
Sherrif TiraspolMoldova
FerencvarosHungary
CSKA SofiaBulgaria
VestriIceland
2nd QF
TwenteHolland
BesiktasTurkey
St GallenSwiss
BenficaPortugal
TromsoNorway
Tel AvivIsrael
AnderlechtBelgium
PAOKgreece
(cup winner)Cyprus
Viktoria PleznCzech
MidtjyllandDenmark
Hammarby IFSweden

so 6 from the first 12 teams go into the 2nd QF round, giving 18 teams.

9 of those go into the 3rd QF round along with 17 other teams, and it starts getting messy

I know airports cannot fly, but you know what a mean!

this website is very handy but probably easier to use on a laptop

click the airport (or type it in) and it shows all direct routes

Just because it confused the shit out of me yesterday

We’ve qualified for the League phase (as I understand it).

That means we go straight into the 36 team League along with the other 35 teams who either automatically qualified or who came through the qualifying playoff.

The League phase consists of 4 home and 4 away games for every club in it.

There are 4 pots of teams and we will be drawn against 2 teams from each pot which make up our 8 games.

We can’t be drawn against another English side in the league phase but we can in the knockout phase if we get there.

After 8 games the top 8 in the League go straight to the knockout phase.

Teams from 9th to 24th then go into a two legged playoff to determine the other 8 teams to go to the knockout phase.

Teams finishing 9th to 16th are “seeded” which means they get home advantage in the second leg of their playoff.

Teams finishing 25th to 36th are out of all European football for the season.

Once that’s done, it’s then a straight two legged knockout event until the final.

So we’re guaranteed at least 8 European games next season.

Last season Brann made the playoffs in 24th place on 9 points.

Roma finished 8th on 16 points as a guide.

Sounds complicated... but hey ho..

Any English side in the Europa or Conference league should be aiming to win it, and we should be no different. I think our style is tailor made for European football tricky away ties, and knockout phase two legged affairs.
