Completely agree with you. Once we'd won the second derby and secured safety Le Bris could afford to take a few more risks with how the team played and it showed. We carried much more of an attacking threat towards the end of the season and he'll have learnt a lot about his squad, and no doubt it'll help build a clearer picture of the kind of players needed in the summer.You can definitely see this in the matches. For me, as soon as the derby was done, we immediately switched to a far more open style of play that we haven't seen before. Was more exciting, though we also shipped quite a few goals. It worked out in the end, but even if it hadn't I still think it was the right call. We ran the risk of becoming too predictable, and I'd prefer us taking the risk on european qualification rather than in the opening weeks of next season.
Can't play the same way every time though. There will always be games where the right play is to defend and counter, but we need to be able to be the aggressor when it's called for.
