So basically CM was right in saying “You need a Walsall ticket”?Hopefully the people who put the hard yards in going away during the L1 days get sorted.
Everyone else, including the likes of myself, can rightly join the back of the line.
I think you might be fine, there’s a minimum of 4 away games which will have significant costs due to the lack of direct flights to these destinations in the North EastDon't think my 35 points will get me to away days. But f***ing European nights at home I will take
Might need to have a Walsall ticket to get to Warsaw at this rateSo basically CM was right in saying “You need a Walsall ticket”?
Flights to some places nowadays can be astronomical.pays to do a bit of planning and if feasible fly to another airport then another form of transport ie train to the destination.Looking at airline companies the days of cheap flights seems a thing of the distant past. Might be cheaper to do a throwback
of the 70’s and 80’s and hire a transit van and hoy 30 in the back to keep costs down![]()
So you reckon my 48 (50 when tickets come out) will be enough?I think you might be fine, there’s a minimum of 4 away games which will have significant costs due to the lack of direct flights to these destinations in the North East

Yeah, considering Newcastle went down below that, although if we get a small Portuguese or Swedish team that might make things difficultSo you reckon my 48 (50 when tickets come out) will be enough?
Potentially not for the allocations of 1,000 if they were in, say, France.
However I’d expect ID checks to be more frequent so points should drop lower if people are put off from farming their number out.
Possibly a phase of previous purchase history for home games, over the last "x" number of seasons? How do we think home games are going to be done? Season ticket holders first then general sale?
Impossible for anyone to answer mate. All depends on who we draw & how much their ground holds. Then you can take into account the actual ability to get there, that might put some off. Then you’ve got to understand what the new points structure will end up like, which is a bit easier to understand, but there’s still confusion around it.On 60 points atm before the rolling 3 years knocks a year off.
Was able to get a ticket to every away game this season if I wanted one with the points I had
Hoping and praying I can get a ticket to at least one but will travel without
EDIT - just checked I’ll be on 48 when the season starts, so should be 50 at least before the first Europa league away game
Anyone think that’ll be enough?
What new points structure?Impossible for anyone to answer mate. All depends on who we draw & how much their ground holds. So all in all, nobody will actually know.
Reckon 20-25 points will be enough for a few ?
Depends on too many things really. Location, allocation etc. I’d say you’d have a shot at at least oneReckon 20-25 points will be enough for a few ?
Italy you've got no chance unless the ticket name is written in biro. Checks are the strictest.I think (hope) we might be surprised how low it goes , if we get a decent allocation
Absolutely nobody is gonna use someone's else's number if ID checks are for 100% of fans.
For home games here it's a small chance of getting caught and your only a train ride from home
Was at all three of those... And many, many others. The club must look after those fans who were still putting money into the club when we were getting thumped 5-1 away to Rotherham, Bolton and Sheff Wed defeats.
Obviously sponsors will get their fair share for the money they put into the club but certain aways have been bad this season atmosphere wise and it's because of those 'new/returning' stay aways not being up for it.
You a striker like?A few weeks ago a company approached me asking if I’d like to shoot Hibs v Kilmarnock for them. Did it, then a couple of days later they ask would you like to do Hibs v Hearts and Hibs v Celtic. Didn’t have to think twice. Then they contact me with would you like you to do this permanently, meaning you’ll get access to all games at Hampden Park, did the Scottish Cup Final on Saturday. Then what now is the icing on the cake. We’ll put you on UEFA accreditation list so you can cover all European competitions. As soon as the draw is made I’ll be pecking their heads for access to some of our games. 6 weeks ago I was shooting non league football. Unbelievable what has happened in a month end a half.
Did Germany for Euros by train. Not most reliable but brilliant network, reasonably priced and run thru the night.Flights to some places nowadays can be astronomical.pays to do a bit of planning and if feasible fly to another airport then another form of transport ie train to the destination.
As an example the final is in Frankfurt but you may be able to save hundreds by flying to Munich then getting the train.
Another three hours onto the journey but may be worth it for the savings.
Just a thought.
