Backup winger signings for European depth

Moreira - Strasbourg (21, winger who can also cover lb he got 4 goals and 7 assists in 27 games this season - 3 goals and 5 assists when playing RW)

Would be a first choice pick on RW for me

We don't need backups. We have backups, we already have a number of talented young wingers who need time to develop. What we really need are a couple of more experienced players to take the pressure off them and for the youngsters to learn from.

You can't just sign 4 or 5 players in each position though. The right footed wingers will be fine next year I think. Yes, they are not the finished article but neither are some of the players in other positions.

We’ve got back up wingers aplenty. We need first team wingers of the standard we have elsewhere in the first XI.

Roefs? Mukiele? Reinildo? Ballard? Alderette? Xhaka? Sadikki? Diarra? Brobbey? LeFee? Hmmmmmm.
The other positions have one or more obvious PL quality players in them. Both wings don’t. Which is why LeFee, Rigg, Hume etc spent time playing out wide and out of position.
Thankfully RLB and the recruiting dept know this.

I just can't see us signing another right footed left winger unless we sell on Adingra.

Also don't really feel that our style of play suits getting the best out of wingers.

Very good wingers also tend to cost a lot of money.

I'd love to sign Bowen, but his wages would probably be an issue and doubt he'd come up here.

Harry Wilson for me like.
Why are people saying Bowen and Summerville

Absolutely no chance we go that kind of route, Ghisolfi is there for a reason - buying players who already play on the PL, especially older and established ones isn’t in our plan
How do people not get this?
Plans can change though depending what’s required. Home grown players is one of those.

Xhaka, Reinildo, Mukiele, Alderete?

We sign players who we feel are good value.
Bowen is rumoured to have a 50% wage reduction clause for going down and doubt he stays to play in the Championship. West Ham will try to play hard ball. But ultimately someone will probably end up signing him and they will get decent value for money. We are in the Europa League...so why not try and tempt him?

Not 30 year old ones on massive wages with no sell on value

Yep - all brought in from other league

Can you imagine the prices of the likes of Mukiele if you had signed him from a PL club

West ham aren't a PL club and Bowen's salary is rumoured to be 50% less in the Championship.

Xhaka is on good wages and will have little sell on value. Bowen would be a great signing if he would come here.

6 goals and 3 assists across the last two seasons

Largely because of injury last season. West Ham paid over 25 million for him. He's looked pretty good, they'll want a profit on him and other clubs will be interested. I don't think another left winger is an immediate priority for us though.

:lol::lol: Bookmark this for when we bring in a starting cb & two wingers.

If you don’t believe so, that is however fine, this forum is here for everyone to voice their opinions… shame not everybody does it respectfully…
