MOTD - [Chelsea at The SOL]

I do wonder if the BBC actually dislikes that they have the weight of having to do coverage for the PL because that was incredibly lacklustre for what is meant to be the UK’s premier highlights show

There's no reason why they cant just have a 5 minute highlights package and then a few mins commenting on the game and stream it on the iplayer or sky sports or something.

Was the same on sky sports tonight Jamie Redknapp wanting to wish Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth well done on a terrific season yet never mentioned us

Anthony Elanga and Liam Rossinia both got more time dedicated to them in the MotD summary of the season than Sunderland but fuck those Saville-protecting nonces I'm loving it.

They prioritised the farewells of top 6 teams over the league positions which meant they ended up with a stunted format of rushing through the ordered results with almost no time for clips or analysis.
I assumed they were building up to a good finish but that was absolutely wank. Thankfully BBC isn't actually a relevant place for content anymore.

That back and forth with the crowd to her them up by Regis is the first time I've actually heard in animated.

May lay to rest the idea he's some quiet timid presence in the changing rooms

Do your selves a favour and bin off motd. What an awful representation of football that show has become.

Except for maybe arsenal what fans stayed in the stadium after the final whistle like we did? It was a perfect joyous occasion to compliment the misery, trials and tribulations seen elsewhere.

Sunderland the playoff final winners beat the club World Cup champions home and away, to secure European football.

Manager of season and signing of the season. Unquestionable.

Wonder how the pro that is Shearer would have been if we lost and they won.
Still looking forward to the local news tonight

Put it iPlayer after reading this thread, dear me… how poor are Shearer and Rooney as pundits man! When you think back to the likes Hansen and Lawrenson, I didn’t always like their opinions but at least they had charisma and some decent analysis of the game, you can see these 2 are so uncomfortable speaking that when they’re finished their heads freeze up and look like they’re going to explode.
