Hes been written off every level. Im not sure why. not good enough for championship, not good enough for premiership. hes literally risen to every challenge and done well. the lads enthusiasm, work rate and passion is second to none. hes the model professional, if you ignor kissing opponents and riding them like a donkey.

O'Nien has said before (possibly in the video in the OP) that when he was out of the team at the beginning of the League One season he tried to work his arse off to get back in the team and it ended up being to his detriment as he knackered himself and was constantly exhausted in training til someone told him to ease off. He also used to do that weird training in the dark with a tennis ball or whatever it was to improve his touch. I took it as that - I can imagine the likes of Maguire not getting that at all.

Another shit fucker who isn't playing in European competition next year.

I think its time that everyone needs to accept he IS a premier league player. He is a perfect example of work ethic and improving with a team as they work up the leagues. Some players can step up and Luke is one. He didnt look out of place at all today, infact his composure and passing at times were superb

Exactly. It's fine to say that a few years back er didn't think he had it in him to compete in the championship, it's fine..most of us were unsure

It's also fine to accept that right now he's a very decent Premier League level CB

Deserves a spot on Legends Way more than a couple of the names that were chosen.

I still can't really believe that below average centre midfielder below average right back below average left back and below average centre half League One player transformed into the player he became in the three years in the Championship and the even better version that he is today.

Love him, absolutely f***ing love him. I love these new lads this season that have pushed us on but him, Hume, Ballard, Riggy, Cirkin, Patto, Neil and Paddy Roberts will always sit above them for me and he's top of the lot.
