Got some World Cup tickets

Just a few years ago, it was thought that Mexico would be the sort of dangerous place to visit a football tournament (out of the three destinations), now it's the USA which is the unappealing place to go visit. I'd personally have no problem going (back) to Mexico and certainly Canada before even considering (going back) to the USA.
Been all over the states New York , san fran , Vegas and Memphis not one problem . I’ve had more chew in London Birmingham and Manchester

We are in Boston & have got Norway v Iraq also there when Scotland play Morocco. We have paid £550 for flights from Edinburgh to Boston they are now over £2,000 no doubt the Scot’s will pay that.
They are about £650 return from Ponteland via Amsterdam.

Would be a decent bet that will have one of the lowest TV viewing figures across the whole tournament, 99% of the world population wouldn't stand up to open the curtains if it was being played in their back garden.

Each to their own I suppose, but paying that level for tickets for that game is insanity.

Usually means a 5-4 thriller mind.

New Zealand v Egypt in Vancouver. Going as a New Zealand fan

Not cheap at all ($800 for 2) but I have to get to a game with it being so close to me. Cant believe how excited it has made me for the world cup finally
My mate offered me a ticket for Switzerland v Canada in Vancouver - he paid $750 each for them. Im in Vancouver the weekend before but plan to watch a game in a fan zone nee way Im paying that for a ticket

I have given up at the cost of the England-Croatia match tickets just because tickets go down in price airlines go up….
I’m in Dallas on business the week we play Croatia and the concierge at the hotel where I always stay has sorted 2 tickets for me but the hotel room rate for the night of the game is 4 times what I would normally pay. Despite having a corporate rate with the hotel they are not honouring it for that night only as the demand for rooms is crazy.

I have friends or my niece in Dallas it’s just a flight from MSP to DFW but getting time off work could be a problem

Got tickets for four games so far. Another four on my list based on where I’ll be but waiting on the prices coming down which they surely have to right?

Will still be paying silly money though I’m guessing.

America has approximately 200 thousand tourists per DAY enter the country.

You will be fine.👍

I've been there about 15 times so I know what it's (was) like. I sense a different America that the one I last visited in 2012. There is too much division.

I've also been to Canada a few times, Mexico seems a better option, so if I was inclined to go to, I go to Mexico, maybe also a bit cheaper.

I think I have mentioned to you before we have friends who live in Wayzata and he’s flying down from MSP on the Monday to meet up with me and come to the game. He said his flight ticket with Delta was more than what he would normally pay with the game being on so using points to help with the cost.

I hope your company will be staying elsewhere thereafter?
Typical of the hospitality industry. They are frequently moaning about how they suffer under difficult economic circumstances then shaft regular, loyal customers for the opportunity to shaft a one-off tourist.
