Well said young man@KarenDent, I have been following this thread for the last few weeks, and I've read all the amazing comments our fans have posted about my dad. My dad wasn't just my dad, he was my best mate and my hero! I'm so lucky, not only did I have the privilege of being his son, but because of who he was I get to see all these great comments about him everytime I go on any of our clubs supporters pages, which not many people who have lost a parent can do. Also I just want to say thank you so much and express how much I appreciate it that you saw the thread and wanted to make sure I had seen all the fantastic things everyone has said about my dad. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, we are the best club in the world! STID!
Thank you for your kind words mate, I really do appreciate it.Well said young man![]()
Godbless you son, quite simply your dad is a Sun’lin legend, great penalty taker! I remember cuddling him at Prenton Park the game we played going up and the smile on his face was a million miles wide! I used to love listening to him with Crabtree on the radio and he was so easy on the ear as he spoke so much sense. It’s hard losing your dad but you can take heart in the knowledge that WE all live in a Gary Rowell world forever more! TIL THE END!Thank you for your kind words mate, I really do appreciate it.
I was with my dad and my brother at that game against Tranmere, it was crazy, we were sat behind the goal half way up just infront of the walkway, and after about 20 minutes someone spotted my dad, then the whole stand started singing his song and coming over to him. Tranmere scored and it seemed like there was a collective "who cares" and everyone just went back to mobing my dad! It was amazing, I was about 13y and fans were asking me to sign their shirts just because I was Gary Rowell's son! To make it even better Man Utd beat stopped the scum from winning the title too!!I
