I’ve not kept up with Brentford this season bar our games but when I watch motd he doesn’t seem to start very much. If hendo was that important to the back room take him as a back room member. We could’ve had gibbs white there instead who’s been instrumental in the forsest side. Strange calls in every area. If we win it I won’t give a shit but if we fail he’s made a huge rod for himself.

We seem to produce really good 8s and 10s these days, but beyond that we don't have many that would grace any stage. So any of the picks that Tuchel makes in other positions have drawbacks, outside of the likes of Kane and Pickford who have established themselves at international level. There's none of them who are truly convincing. As an example, we're talking about the choice between Maguire, Stones and Burn, while Ezri Konsa is written into the starting line-up in sharpie. He's decent, but hardly a centre half who makes you think 'world cup winner'. At least with Stones he's capable of excelling on the very biggest of stages.

Tbf, Konsa is the main CH in one of the best teams in the league and there is a distinct lack of dominant CHs in world football at the minute. Having said that Burn should be nowhere near this squad.

That defense is lifting like, half are injury prone the rest are cart horses. Djed Spence could be a championship player this time next week...

MGW has played 3 positions this season as well, LW RW and as a 10. To take Madueke over him is odd.

Hendo (as much as I love him) will be almost 36 and the heat over there is going to be rough. I only see Tuchel bringing him on as a closer for the last 10-15 minutes. Wharton can do that same job for longer and can even start games.

Hall should definitely have been called up instead of Djed Spence. Maguire in for Stones who hasn’t played a full 90 since god knows when.

That being said, I still reckon we’ll get to at least the semi’s.
