England World Cup squad news

England literally have a Manchurian Candidate running the show!
Maguire's not very good so got no issue with whoever he chooses to take over him to be honest.

If Tuchel picks Burn over him then it's because he's played for him multiple times, likes him in the system that he plays and trusts him. Not exactly crazy is it? Probably a better idea to pick that player than the one who's crying on social media about not being picked.
He’s arguably been the best English centre half this season.

Imagine if England meet Holland in the knockouts. Livermento and Burn in their back four, against Daylight Brobbery. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is daft. The lad scored goals, goals win games. I can understand Foden and Palmer left out, poor seasons when the goals have largely dried up.
From a meritocracy perspective he absolutely deserves to go.
I’ve never really rated him that highly, he’s obviously a good player though and has been in fantastic form, so I’m surprised, tuchel must have some plan and system that specifically suits the players he’s picked and form isn’t a decisive factor
I'm surprised because he can play in a few positions and based on merit he should go.

Wharton is but palmer has been ass majority of the season. On his day he’s class but has he done enough to force a squad place not sure. Wharton is another he’s more than likely not get a game as he’d be in Anderson or rices place etc. not sure he’s needed. Toney rumoured to be in is a bit of a shock like, banging them in in a league probably largely equal to league one. Yet no doubt a player like welbeck will be overlooked who’s looked very good all season and bring bags of experience.
Anderson and rice ain’t playing every game only takes an injury palmer is someone who could light up the tournament and a bit of magic in him just because he’s been shit for Liam rosenior doesn’t mean that’s gonna happen for England

Foden and Palmer don’t run in behind, Madueke does. Kane drops into the space where Foden and Palmer operate.

I would imagine his thinking is along those lines. He’s basically picked Rogers and Eze over MGW, which I can kind of understand
I get that but can’t Eze also play out wide? And Rogers to a degree? Fallout of it all is going to be interesting. Hopefully Palmer is just thinking of sulking in the Maldives on Sunday and can’t be arsed

I'm starting to think Tuchel has been given a backhander by the German FA to torpedo our World Cup chances here like.
Barmy to omit Maguire after the season he's had.

Yeah I know you can’t take them all. But GW can play right across the pitch. He's excellent off the left. I wouldn’t say Eze had an excellent season.

Don’t think Botman has ever played for his country has he?
No, he was in the preliminary squad in 2022 so he probably won't get a game this time as they have better players in his position I would think even if he makes the squad.
