England World Cup squad news

Looking something like this going by whose been dropped.

Pickford, Henderson, Trafford
Livramento, O'Reilly, Skelly
Guerhi, Konsa, Burn, Stones
James, White
Henderson, Mainoo, Rice, Anderson
Eze, Rogers, Bellingham, Saka, Gordon, Rashford, Madueke
Kane, Watkins, Toney
White’s out injured isnt he? Maybe Quansah or Trent?

Given the relative level of opponents Luke Shaw is a far better option at lb and could have covered cb in emergency... Let's be honest if it's a later stage game against top opposition, Dan Burn is the answer to absolutely no questions at all
Thats the thing, neither is maguire, and I suspect even if he went he wouldn't be starting, so we won't know how that would work with the harmony of the squad.
Luke shaws had an OK season but oreilly has been far better and will be fighting for that left back spot for the next ten years so he's the obvious choice there.

Fair enough. He's not the best defender but, as with my opinion on burn Vs shaw, against the cannon fodder he'd be a good option going forward saving James for later stages
I suspect tuchel wants a right back that will get forward and run back and cover, trent never had much discipline for doing his defending first and foremost

Hang on a minute… No Hall, Shaw or Colwill?

We only have 4 LB with O’Riley and he’s seemingly not talking 3 of them?

I’d have Wharton and Alex Scott before Henderson like, not sure why he’s picking Henderson
Scott isn't international level for me. Wharton isn't brilliant.

Henderson is prime vice captain material when you want to rest Kane which we will need to in the heat. He's vastly experienced and still an excellent keeper of the ball.

This season? I can’t remember him having a run of games, let alone doing anything of note. Anyway, splitting hairs. If you disagree that Gibbs White and Rogers haven’t been more in form this season, then we’ll agree to disagree

No them two have been excellent like. Foden had a run of around 7 goals in 6 games.
