It’s mental when you think back that literally everyone could see it was a bad appointment apart from those who chose to hire himOne of the most united fronts I've ever seen. Everyone was in agreement about how bad an appointment it was.
Literally everything we warned or were warned would happen, happened. And in record time.
The mole stuff was awful, little did we know what he was going through at the time as well. Not sure why people stooped that lowAye, I was guilty of it tbh. He got terrible stick
People chanting for him to get sacked in his second home game didn't helpI never really disliked him really. It was just obvious from before day 1 that he was out of his depth and it'd never work. The whole club was a shitshow to be fair. The burner account stuff you can sit back and laugh at now but given what we know now, it's not really funny. His head must have been a right mess. I hope he goes on and has a decent career. He's just another to add to a list of Lee Johnson, Phil Parkinson, Chris Coleman, Jack Ross and Simon Grayson that has had no real connection with the fans.
I don't think for one second that Speakman would have made the decision in isolation with how involved KLD etc are. But the collective wanted blocking for that call.Said at the time some of the abuse he was getting was lifting. Speakman was firmly to blame for that one.
To have a burner account over a number of years is nothing to feel sorry about.I never really disliked him really. Not just his own mind, i've seen a certain twitter account talk very highly of him tooA legend in his own mind, what has Belgian football done to deserve him?
A few pages back, a new job, but I don't know the club or where (somewhere in Europe?) it is. Dutch?Sorry haven’t read the thread. What’s the score? Has he got a job?
Belgium. He'll love the chips over there to be sure.A few pages back, a new job, but I don't know the club or where (somewhere in Europe?) it is. Dutch?

The fact that even the old boys club in the media, who are forever bemoaning the lack of opportunities at big clubs for young British coaches, were saying it would be a disaster suggests that his reputation within the game was toxic. One of the most united fronts I've ever seen. Everyone was in agreement about how bad an appointment it was.

Moles Frites?Belgium. He'll love the chips over there to be sure.
I’ve seen some absolute vile stuff on the internet but my godStill think he wasn't given a fair run here.
