I'm not sure he is, he's a lad who has played well undoubtedly but I wouldn't want to be relying on him regularlyEvery team needs a squad, and he's had more man of the match awards than bad games when he's been called on. He is absolutely a premier league quality player
He's won two man of the match of man awards since Jan and would have won Sunday's if it wasn't for Enzo's perfect finish.Other than the bottom 2 do you think he'd start for any other PL side? I mean he's a bit part player for us
Ok, which sides would he get in.He's won two man of the match of man awards since Jan and would have won Sunday's if it wasn't for Enzo's perfect finish.
So yeah he would.
As a squad player? I'd say anyone not in regular Europe contention.Ok, which sides would he get in.
No, I asked the question would he get in any other side and someone said he would. Id like to know which sides. That's all.As a squad player? I'd say anyone not in regular Europe contention.
You seem to be deliberately conflating "starting PL player" with "valuable member of a squad".
I don't think anyone is claiming he should be first choice. That still makes him a premier league quality player though
Well he would certainly improve Liverpool's back line. Oh and Chelsea. Deffo Spurs, West Ham, Burnley and Wolves. Possibly Palace or Leeds. No, I asked the question would he get in any other side and someone said he would. Id like to know which sides. That's all.
Are you being serious?Well he would certainly improve Liverpool's back line. Oh and Chelsea. Deffo Spurs, West Ham, Burnley and Wolves. Possibly Palace or Leeds.
Wolves,Burnley,West HamNo, I asked the question would he get in any other side and someone said he would. Id like to know which sides. That's all.
Brother-in-law?The way some people go on about him is as if he’s their brother in law and his flaws and limitations as a footballer shouldn’t ever allowed to be spoke about or brought to light
I don’t have one just first thing that came to my headBrother-in-law?
You particularly close to yours like mate?
Again that works both ways, even when he's at fault some will make excuses for him.
Which Liverpool player would he be an improvement on?Are you being serious?
None of them at the backWhich Liverpool player would he be an improvement on?
West Ham debatable but probably the only one outside of the bottom two to be so.Wolves,Burnley,West Ham
That has really surprised me tbh. He's still good enough and young enough to be playing regularly somewhere. I genuinely didn't think he'd be happy to accept not playingFor context, Bournemouth outplayed City last night with Adam Smith at right back and James Hill at centre back. Neither of them are household names or cost a lot of money. Brighton have had the likes of Dunk, Webster and March in their team in recent years.
"Premier League" quality means being able to fulfil your role in the team. You don't need to be a superstar, just a competent footballer. When O'Nien makes a mistake, people jump on in a way that they don't with other players. He didn't play well against Villa but he has performed perfectly adequately in his other appearances. He is a squad player and happy to accept that role while helping to set mentality in training and games.
Yes. It's a serious discussion. Are you being serious?
You think Luke O'Nien would be an improvement on Virgil Van Djik and Konate?Yes. It's a serious discussion.
Liverpool have been leaking goals and we haven't when Luke has been playing.
There was one post I read saying it was his poor positioning which led to him having to make that tackleThat one on Beto is outstanding, as the ball from Reinildo is awful, it’s nowhere near a 50/50, probably 70/30 in Beto’s favour.
SpursOk, which sides would he get in.
