Will be a lot of long drawn out court cases off the back of this if they plan on challenging.
Really hope they just take their licks.

Too much money at stake on Saturday for that sadly. Might as well gamble a few thousand on an appeal.Really hope they just take their licks.
Shouldn’t need security, it’s against the rules.Bit worrying that clubs so high up the food chain have such piss poor security that someone could get so near the players without being challenged
I'm still not convinced that it's a proportionate punishment though
It’s a good job the trees at the AOL have maturedShouldn’t need security, it’s against the rules.
I was thinking more along the lines of more sinister people than a kid with a camera tbhShouldn’t need security, it’s against the rules.

Imagine if Celtic had been one up going into injury time v Hearts, and then Hearts equalized.I was thinking more along the lines of more sinister people than a kid with a camera tbh
So no-one at the club was aware of what was going on? Bull and sh1t.Plausible deniability![]()
As usual, way above my headImagine if Celtic had been one up going into injury time v Hearts, and then Hearts equalized.

All the appeal will do is reduce the points deduction. My guess is 2 points.I'd be astonished if that were true.

They have no choice to appeal but like you say no reason why they should be confident.Appeals are usually restricted to procedural irregularities and factual inaccuracies in the original decision and how that impacts the right level of punishment rather than having a second bite of the cherry to win the case again.
I can't see why they would be so confident.
Which means likely theyve done it to every team"Sources with knowledge of the situation maintain Southampton’s ownership were unaware of the spying campaign.
Instead, Eckert admitted responsibility. The 33-year-old has held positions with the German national team, as part of their 2012 European Championship campaign, as well as the youth teams at FC Köln, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich. He has also been assistant manager at Barnsley and at Italian club Genoa.
His key defence was that, since the practice is widespread on the continent, he had no idea he was breaking English football’s rules.
Eckert has been badly bruised by the scandal and fears he could be banned by the Football Association and lose his job at Southampton.
He and Spors are both highly likely to face disciplinary action from the FA, potentially along with Southampton’s intern analyst Salt, who was pictured filming."
