This for me like. If we beat Chelsea & the other results go our way, I’m honestly not bothered about which one we get into.

Conference provides a better chance of making a bit of progress & could provide an opportunity to rotate the squad in the early parts.

Europa you’d be at a higher standard & potentially have matches against the likes of Leverkuson or Juve, with much less chance of a long run.

Exactly. There was a school of thought that said we should avoid the EPL because we'd get sent straight back down and get hammered in both derbies. Giving yourself the greatest challenges makes it all the more magical when you defy the odds.
 
I would never have said this at the start of the season but if you want to attract better players I think you have to be looking at a European place.

Easy, my backside. I can see at any time on the internet all the teams that play in the Conference League and I think they would all be very tough opponents for a team with little to no experience in Europe. Crystal Palace and the like know what they are capable of when playing in Europe against European teams and how good they are. We do not. We are untried and untested in a European competition. Playing against a team in European like BK Haken and Ominia Nicosia is a totally different kettle of fish to the domestic teams.

Exactly. Just have a good game and see the lads off as they've done us proud this season. If we get into Europe, class! If not, well it's not entirely up to us so just have a go at Chelsea. Simple really
 
Ultimately, if we beat Chelsea I'll be happy with whatever. Worst case we should be top 10 and finish above that lot. That's some season either way, but making sure we win sunday is all that matters.

This is Crystal Palace’s first time playing in Europe, apart from the Intertoto Cup over 25 years ago.

The vast majority of our players play to a higher standard now, have played in foreign leagues against what we’d consider foreign sides & it’s easier to pick out the players that have no experience of playing for their international sides against both good & poor quality opponents.

Football is still played on grass, with a ball & 11 players on each side.

Fair point.

But if we somehow get into Europe this season, theres a big draw for players to sign/stay this summer

Missing Europe to get a domestic trophy next season (if it was that simple) puts us back a year....
 
I’m on cloud 9 after the season we’ve had- anything now is a bonus, but I’m also wary of the effects Europe can bring
 
Finish as high as we can and deal with what is before us. We've experienced finishing 8th in League One (a fake season but that is on the record books) and know the depths. There is nothing to be gained by under achieving
 
Europa as we'd be playing better teams and it would be more attractive to potential signings. I want us to play the best European teams we can. Got to qualify first like. Anyone not wanting Europe then sorry like but football is not for you.
