Luke O'Nien

Can you and the other f***ing boring no nowts not just give it a rest. We all know he's not 1st choice and will not be again. Just try and enjoy the utter professionalism of the man and the fact he's willing to die for this club everytime he pulls on our shirt. You and your like just bore the tits off the rest of us who want to talk about players actual performances and and how useful they are to the club. Whats next ? Your in depth criteque of Samson and Delila's last performance and their on going use to the club.
Geez is it okay to have a bit of a debate these days 😂😂 hope you’ve recovered x

Its not bebate though is it. Its the constant running down of a loyal servant of our club who's maybe not jumped every hurdle but has done most. The simple thing is if one day the minus out weigh pluses then you miserable set of no nowts might have your way but until such times pretend you are loyal to the club and support the lad.

They’re the “elite” of the league and even they had limitations against Villa. So it’s a nothing argument to say he’s limited. No shit, most are.
It's a factual argument that he showed up his limitations and that he is limited. It was in response to him being supposedly tatgetted . Not sure why you're getting upset about it

The debate thing works both ways. Some can't seem to accept any criticism of him, even when it's warranted. You can be critical and still like a player. Look at this thread, I said he wasn't tatgetted by Villa but that game and particularly Watkins showed up his limitations. That happened. The response, so what they showed up two other players from another club. With some it's like a cult.

O'Nien is a lovely lad , good player and as good a professional we've ever seen at our club. Nowt but admiration for him

Did I read it on here or facebook?

Anyway someone said if he scores the chant needs to be 09 09 09 in the theme of Ole Ole Ole

That's perfect if word gets out in time.

So did Konate and Van Dijk show their limitations against Villa too?

Strange though that you’re holding O’Nien to higher standards than some of the best CBs in the league though. Any mistake = limited.
No I'm talking about one of our players. I don't care about Liverpool's players.
He was poor v Villa and Watkins highlighted why he isn't a regular in our side. He played well on Saturday and I praised him for that. It's absolutely weird people can't accept any criticism of him.

its fine to say he played poorly against villa. thats pretty much universally agreed on. no one is arguing any different

the argument comes with the reaction to that game. the comments on here and social media were way, way, way over the top. 'he should never play again' type comments, and 'he's not good enough for the premier league'', that type of thing. over and over and over.

yet here he is, with 10 appearances, of which 6 are full or almost full games, with a couple of man of the match performances, 5 or 6 very good performances, and 5 wins under his belt and only one defeat.
