I wouldn't be playing Hume there and I reckon the manager does have a habit of not playing his best 11 when available. I'm half thinking: is he playing certain players because he's been told to to put them in the shop window for sale in the summer? Also, I don't think he's been sure of his best 11 at times, e.g. which wingers.

Either way, I don't know how he can expect the like of Talbi to build up a head of steam when he doesn't get a run.

In the end though, I judge him not on team he picks but how many points we have at the end of the season in the context of the quality of the players we have. We certainly should not have gone down with those players and so I don't think that's much of achievement. 51 points is maybe just on the high side given AFCON derailing the team a bit and a new team needing to gel. I would say an above par performance from him but not by much.

As I say, I reckon he's done wellish, but he hasn't achieved anything exceptional. We've sorely lacked creativity at times but I'd forgive that if he was concentrating on being solid, well organised and hard to beat first and foremost. We've got the foundations there and we now need one or two very good creative players who regularly influence matches.

The most exceptional part of the season was getting the players to the club we did and for the money we paid for them, e.g. Mukiele, as opposed to what the manager did with those players.

Mind your having a bit of a weekend aren't you? So from scanning this piece of steaming shite you feel the managers not picking his best side to hinder us from doing well. I can assure you that from the look on Humes face there is nobody more fully aware or berating himself more than Hume when he fucks up. The fact that the good out weighs the bad by a million does it not ever cross your mind that the manager see's the benefit in this? Also what if Reggie and the staff believe that there is a better player in Trai and are attempting to work towards that goal with him due his versatility.

It's a symptom of the modern world and social media that a lot of people can't have a conversation anymore without resorting to hyperbole, hysterics and shouting. They don't leave the house much and when they're in the house they spend their time on facebook and twitter mimicking the stupidity that goes on on such social media sites.

You need to pull yerself together marra and start communicating like a reasonable human being. Until you do that nobody sensible who knows what they're talking about is gonna talk to you about football. You'll just be talking to people exactly like you, just loads of hyperbole, hysterics and shouting at each other.

But you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re objectively wrong and RLB has massively over-achieved the expectations of any “reasonable human being”.

The problem with social media is that people who are wrong but can’t admit it have a platform for their Ill-informed opinions and it’s made them feel like everyone needs to hear the latest idiotic theory. The idea that opinions can’t be wrong is one of the worst developments of modern society.

Maybe 48 points would have been a par performance. I actually predicted 47-50 points on this board back in August/September time.

Opinions cannot be "wrong" but some are built upon stronger foundations than others. This isn't a "development of modern society", it has been understood for centuries.

The best and most reliable predictor of success is wage bill. Ours is in the bottom third of the league, we are going to finish in the middle third, and probably toward the top end of it. Objectively RLB has over-achieved.

Even if you want to bring “expectations” into the equation over metrics, most people thought we would struggle to stay up and in reality we have a chance to qualify for Europe going into the last game. Once again, RLB has over-achieved.

Your opinion that we haven’t, is wrong. That’s not me having a different opinion. You are wrong.

I can see why, as a stupid person, you have to cling to the notion that your opinion counts as much as facts do. It’s just not true.

It’s a risk aversion thing IMO. Playing almost a 5-3-2 in away games and against the better teams is part of Reg making sure that we’re tough to beat. Maybe he errs on the side of caution there a bit. Also it’s a trust thing, too. He plays the players he trusts - and that means compromise elsewhere.
