Unless he doesn't want to sign, this looks a no brainer. When I watch the inside training videos he looks like he is best friends with everyone at the club, when we win a game he is celebrating more than anyone, never injured, plays to a very high premier league standard in four positions, good age....really can't see any reason not to sign him.

Need a busy Portuguese number 10. Linking play. We don't create enough, need to solve it. Number one signing priority.
The club have done a good job of putting the foundations together of a team difficult to beat, need to build on that with some quality farther up the pitch who can dictate matches and get us on the front foot.

If you said we need another to be ELF's understudy, you might have had a point, but that's a mental take, unless you think we're in the market for Bruno Fernandes.
I'd be happy enough if it was as I think he is a good fifth defender who can step into any position, or allow others to move across, and I think he is a better footballer than Trai Hume.
But he's only started 16 games despite being fit all season, AFCON, suspensions and injuries etc. I don't see us spending £20m on 6th choice defenders this summer - nor should we, really.

He hasn't had the same impact as Rogers. He's played 800 minutes more than Trossard in the league.
There will be no big club that comes in with a bid for him above 25 million, probably more 20 million what we paid for him. Just like there wasn't in January. The reason being that people who are paid to pick out a player will see that he's neat and tidy enough on the ball but too small and just doesn't do it often enough.
