2 Results Away From Europe

For anyone of you thinking about the "what if's"...

Not a single team has taken more points than us from losing positions this season...

Opposition teams have more of a right to ponder the "what if's" from playing us!

One more win and see where the chips fall

Can we make Europa League with a win or just conference league?

The maths are now quite simple. Regardless of how Chelsea get on in their game in hand on Tuesday night, if Sunderland beat Chelsea on Sunday in their last game, and Brentford fail to win at Liverpool or Brighton get beat by Man United, Regis Le Bris' side will finish in at least eighth position and qualify for the Conference League.

If we win their last game and both Brentford and Brighton lose, we will finish seventh and qualify for the Europa League.

Definitely doable 🤔

That makes it so much more likely that we’ll do a Sunderland and get beat thigh doesnt it?

(Sorry, old habits die hard)
At least this time we are at Home!! Last two chances were away to spurs (a draw would have done)
And away to Chelsea (we needed to win)

Does villa winning the Europa League effect it in any way ? Like could it possibly go down to 9th ?

All we can do is play our own game and get the win and hope for something else to happen. Without the win it's pointless stressing about others.

I'm slightly in shock that it's as close to being in our own hands as this. Next weekend is massive.

No pressure lads. If we don't win it's still been an absolutely remarkable and brilliant season. But get the win aye. ;)

Just looking at your post there and thinking, when we looked to be 2-0 down at Wembley until VAR stepped in , could you ever have envisaged posting that just 12 months later ?
Absolutely incredible what the club has done in a year

If it is Europe, and all throughout the season, until now, I have considered this a step too far for a side in their second PL season, I hope it is the Conference; a realistic chance of silverware with the option of resting certain players against weaker opposition in the early rounds.

If Chelsea lose to Spurs or draw are they out of contention for Europe?

No. They’ve got a decent goal difference*, so could lose midweek, beat us and get into Europe (as long as the results mentioned above go their way too)

* provided they don’t lose 26-0 to Spurs
