Martin O'Neill

And then conveniently got a phantom penalty in the 27th minute of 5 added on at Motherwell so that 'you' didn't have to win by 3 goals to win the title.

Its all a bit embarrassing really isn't it.
Let’s face it it’s a 50% chance the people making decisions support the Celtic cause.. a cause which is greater than football itself.

Listening on radio 5 yesterday the commentators couldn’t be more biased.

Everyone seemed to celebrating as if Celtic were the underdogs…. And how Celtic have got this far without a ground closure beggars belief.

But there you have it… it’s only football until it’s politics and religion are involved and what ever anyone says it’s always around stinking out the room when it comes to Scottish footy

I always say keep politics and religion out of football

I cant really put my finger on why Ive gone off the bloke in the last week but it might be the lack of humility. I cant say I wasnt glad to see him leave us as I had to drag myself to the matches to watch us under his management.

Sectarianism blights football and politically now seems to divide us in the UK. Sad times..........

More disillusioned than having Phil Parkinson being in charge losing to Bristol Rovers comfortably and being happy with a point v Gillingham?
It was more what he had achieved, versus what we actually got from him.

Parkinson I knew was shite.
MON is underwhelming because he was a big name at the time.

Most disillusioned I’ve ever felt as a Sunderland fan when he was in charge.

Too stubborn, negative and conservative.

I remember a game where he was screaming, and I mean literally screaming at Seb Larsson for running into the opposition half.

Please note I said disillusioned not outright the worst.
Jurassic Parkinson wins, which is ironic because we certainly f***ing didn’t under him much.

Really?!

Only a fan for a couple of seasons?

Do you think he became a multi billionaire by being led?
The club was nothing but a hobby which he threw pocket money at until he got bored and it was no longer sustainable by which time the incompetent people he had put in charge had wrecked the club.
That was his fault no one else’s.. he failed, he was a failure and he didn’t care enough.
Bob Murray could see straight through him.
We were nothing but a play thing, a view reinforced by the incompetence he had running the club.
No you don’t. Like you say it was his play thing. Like I said he was being bled by those he put in charge. You could say he was to blame for putting them in charge, but many on here believed a lot of his decisions were justifiable at the time, when he kept us up. Many also thought Moyes was an excellent choice. You can’t blame Short for the shit show that he created.

From what we thought we were getting to the dull insipid shit he served up, it was clear he was not even close to the manager without Robertson at his side.

I thought we would be getting some kind of footballing wisdom, steady hand and a decent operator in the market.

What we instead got was a half arsed, negative bore of a manager who showed nothing remotely resembling positivity on the pitch and spunked dubious amounts on utter shit.
It’s little wonder Short thought hell with it and withdrew funding when O’Neill went out and wasted £5m on Danny Graham.

O’Neill reckons he didn’t see the scenes at full time yesterday, disappointing if he’s sweeping it under the carpet rather than just calling it for what it is.
But not surprising from the Oirish Wenger

He’s got a platform to improve the future here, but will bottle it

Hypocritical awld kernt will be delighted, naturally

I appreciate you are saying he had positive intent. But they were his appointments, be it football or executive and it was him that had to agree the vision and the strategies to achieve it. It was him that had to hold people accountable.

Ultimately it wasn’t the footballers or managers who failed him it was the senior executives he gave responsibility to. They were the common thread. Unlike the likes of Moyes or ONeil these people where not qualified to be doing the job they were doing.
You are only as good as the team you build around you and his was incompetent… that’s down to him.
The idiot even said when Sslmon pants and Eastleigh started cutting costs, that perhaps he should have employed them…. He was clueless
