Nyron in away end tomorrow

Was sit where you want that day. We were in ground canny early so we had pretty much the pick of away end, and my mate decided he wanted to sit at the back instead of exactly where that photo was taken. The bellend that he is
Should have told me, was hairy in the corner next to the away fans 😳😂

My and my mates were on a lads holiday for some of our 40th's in Belamadena for the Luton game. We watched the game (sort of, as I think only the goals were shown during another game, Birmingham?) in the Lighthouse pub in the harbour. The bloke brought us some shots and some bubbly when we won the Championship.

We'd been out all day, a bit worse for wear and that night in 24 hour square a looky looky man turned up, a big black bloke with 10 or more straw hats on his head 😂

Well he got the Nyron chant obviously and we all end up with a hat each, not sure they were all were paid for but he did alright 🤣
That was a brilliant day and a brilliant weekend. I remember the bar where we watched it had Sunderland pictures on the walls.

i don't think he was one of the most gifted footballers to ever play for us but he always seemed to give his all and looked as though he enjoyed playing for us. you can't doubt his enthusiasm and commitment.

Bobby Saxton shouting from the touchline, "Nyron! Nyron!.................Bloody hell, Nyron!"

Loved Nyron....he would always doing something stupid at least once during the game...like give away a corner from the half way line.... Entertaining and actually quite a good defender . ....lived in one of those high rises at Roker iirc.....BHH...🥸
Don’t know why but I see a lot of playing, likable characteristics between Noz and LON. Love both of them - heart in mouth entertainment always 🤘

We were the peak of his career so he will have a soft spot for us
Celebrating on the pitch at Luton must behis best football moment ever
He was loving life that day 😂 😎 Werent we all

His distribution was scary at times but otherwise, when it came to actual defending, I thought he was excellent and was capable of marking effectively some of the best in the league.
I remember when we played Spurs at home. They had Berbatev upfront who was one of the best, most skilful strikers in the league at the time. Nyron didn’t give him the lickings of a dog all afternoon. There was clearly a very good defender in there.
