IIRC, the first time I flew, in 1980, was with Dan Air. Gatwick to Marco Polo Airport, Venice.

This is true. Aer Lingus is bringing back the Continental Airlines brand to offer new transatlantic routes and will be sponsoring us.

Flew to the states with Continental back in the 80s. That used to qualify non US citizens for a Continental Airlines “monthly air pass” which allowed you as many internal US flights as you fancied at £15 a flight iirc as long as there was an empty seat 15 mins before take off. Absolute lunacy!
