Southampton spying compendium thread

For all the cries of 'we don't care about little old Boro', there's a lot of people on here showing their true colours and displaying a lot of bitterness.
On the contrary as far as I can see the vast majority of fans on here are supportive of the Boro position despite the supposed rivalry. I think you should remember that in future when you're off on one. As far as the statement goes I really doubt that serves them very well. They are trying to influence the investigation from the outside and are expecting that using an expensive lawyer will sway it in their direction while the investigation is in full swing. Seems like a mis-step to me.

There’s no way the spying has meant Southampton have won the tie
I wonder if nice guy Gibson would be happy enough if Hull were to just be promoted then?
Or is he just wanting another go at getting up
The way he shamelessly kicked Derby while they were down shows what type of bloke he is
What was so wrong in what evil Mr Gibson supposedly did to Derby?
Facts please, not just bitter accusations

The way boro have acted has been a disgrace imo. Trying to intimidate the EFL at every step of the way to get a decision that suits them. Leaking what is basically confidential evidence to the press. Demanding they be involved in the hearing that they have no right to be involved in. Not getting their way there and then trying more intimidatory tactics with this press release.

They have handled it poorly - but it wasnt them who leaked it to the press initially to be fair, it was an ex Southampton employee

No you wouldnt. But ultimately you're right in that the gulf is so great clubs become beyond desperate for that pot of gold. Particularly a club like boro who's wages exceed revenue and will have to cut back next season if not promoted. Will definitely lose hackney and maybe others.
Hackney only has a year left it would be a huge risk to keep him and chance going up

Wouldn't be surprised if Boro have a fire under them for next season like Coventry did (assuming they don't get reinstated because I reckon they turn Hull over)

I'm sorry like, people here criticising Boro for fighting their own corner are being very one-eyed.

We had threads on here, last week, about the corruption of the PL because we didn't get a penalty decision in a end of season dead-rubber, but Boro are whining fannies because they're upset a club *cheated* in a game which impacts their ability to play in the most lucarative game in football?:lol:

If the shoe was on the other foot, this place would be in absolute uproar and insisting that a) the game should be awarded to us and b) that RLB/KLB both come out and kick off in the strongest terms.

Christ, we still all hate Coventry for something they done 49 years ago

To me it's absolutely obvious that Southampton should be kicked out of the play offs and Boro should play Hull. Although, it's not that I care about them in any type of rivalry.
I've met loads of great Boro lads over the years so I almost always want them to do well.

Yeah. Boro lost because they weren’t good enough. If they kick Southampton out then hull should be promoted
It's impossible to quantify the advantage Southampton gained from their cheating. All we know is they tried to gain an unfair advantage over them, and that Boro are victims so should be in the final.

Everyone wants to see the playoff final, sky make good money from it, so does Wembley Wembley we're going to Wembley Wembley.

Let the king of east yorkshire duke it out with the queen of north yorkshire, stripped to the waist, 'mano a mano'!

Also, there's more chance of me playing in goal for England at the world cup than the EFL cancelling the Championship playoff final man. It's their showpiece game, and a huge part of their marketing.

He tried Suing a club when they were at their lowest ebb, which could of made the whole club cease at that time, again claiming it cost him promotion which to be Frank is laughable
Your fans showed zero sympathy to derby and its supporters now its craving it from anywhere and everywhere

The only people who ever seem to have a thing against Boro is people from Sunderland I don’t get it, only time I ever discuss them is when another Sunderland supporter brings them up. Not even mags discuss them. Proper forced weird rivalry mainly from our end. I don’t get it.

Chill out mr early leaver, the fact you keep replying shows you’re clearly not triggered…😂😂😂😂

Theres no facts involved. Just your very humble opinion based on a fictional imternet world.
A bit sad reality isnt it.
But yeah your right Im so triggered.
Whilst getting paid at work to reply to you.
Love it. Keep the replies coming

Southampton had no advantage after leg 1.

It was even. Southampton should be punished. Hull are bigger victims in this than Boro
How can you possibly quantify that they had no advantage? How do you know they didn't tweak their setup to prepare for Boro's attacking patterns they were practicing? How do you know their players weren't drilled on what to expect based upon the spies intel? Boro might have scored otherwise.

We just can't quantify their advantage, but we know Boro were cheated against and therefore they should be reinstated.

Agree, mentioned earlier about Coventry which for me was worse than this and they got off ,so if I was Boro I wouldnt hold my breath

The whole footballing world is talking about it, nothing to do with the fact it’s Boro. Promotion should be based on merit. Boro also deserve fuck all after getting pummelled the other night. Only fair Hull get promoted. Would be funny as fuck if Boro were to play in the final and get beat mind 🤣

Boro created plenty of chances. It was boros poor play why they didnt score.

Now if Sputhampton had shut boro out and they barely created youd have a point, but thats not what happened
