Sir David Beckham Becomes UK's First Billionaire Sportsman


Leaked emails from 2017 revealed David Beckham’s frustration at being passed over for a knighthood, allegedly branding the honours committee "unappreciative c***s" and calling the system a "f***ing joke". The messages, sent to his PR team, showed anger over a 2013 snub and questioned why others received honours.
 
“Meanwhile, Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has dropped from seventh to ninth in the UK overall, with his fortune having decreased by £1.85bn to £15.194bn.”

Words can’t describe how gutted I am for the bloke, he must be struggling to pay his bills after that? Thoughts and prayers to his family.

.. and he still bleats about paying any tax whatsoever, rails against welfare and its recipients and only just recently received a govt contract to sell his Chinese manufactured vehicles

He will only have a small percentage in cash / bonds as well anyway. The rest will be diversified into assets and stocks etc.

Much higher gains, especially over a long period with compounding.

Should never have got a knighthood, came across as if everything good he done was for the sole purpose to be knighted for his 'brand'

and people say "money won't change me". He seemed a nice lad by all accounts before he started with all the "brand Beckham" nonsense. I've never known anyone be so desperate for attention, and to want his face on tv either advertising, or endorsing, or just generally wanting to make it all about him, as much as he does. It must be an addiction.
