Southampton spying compendium thread

The fact that they're not allowing any ticket sales yet speaks volumes. You could theoretically let Hull sell all their tickets if you knew the game was taking place on the day no matter who they played. They're not, which likely means the final is going to be delayed.
Wembley is in use the week after, then we are into June, players out of contract and World Cup starting. I can't see it being rescheduled

Were there any warning signs that trespassers would be reported to authorities and any benefits from watching people have a kick about ? Did it state it was private land owner by Middlesbrough FC ? No cameras or filming allowed ? 46 Championship matches played. How many variations can you have FFs !Boro had more than enough chances to wrap up the game in first 45 mins at the Riverside ! 🤷‍♂️
Weird take !
Why would there need to be 'warning signs' ?
It's against the rules whether they're trespassing or not.

Are you aware of EFL rules at all? It did state it was private land yes, but the EFL rules dictate what Southampton were doing is forbidden within 72hrs of the fixture.

A hetty style link…

This doesn't feel like an ideal course of action

If it takes place on 19th, then surely they have no option to leave Southampton in it - changing it about at that point would be insanity, for loads of different reasons (supporters, of both sides; Hull unable to prepare properly; Middlesbrough left not knowing if they're likely to be playing again).

So Southampton fans can buy tickets, but they may get kicked out for Boro by next Tuesday.

And if that is the case, Boro fans will only have from Tuesday - Saturday to get tickets and travel etc sorted.

What a ridiculous situation.
And Hull won't be able to prepare for half the length of time to play the winners of this hearing to boot.

I said yesterday that the EFL would find a way to fuck up this hearing, but I thought it would be during and after it happened, not beforehand.

How does it even work for Wembley too, I mean I’m sure they are free for a few weeks or two but after that is it not booked out etc. f***ing huge can of worms all because the efl haven’t got the balls to bite the bullet either way.
No idea. Think the big issue is they have one or two players who are going to the world cup so I just cant see how they can push it back and play the game at wembley (think wembley has events on the following weekend).

Honestly think this is better than 90,000 and the whole country watching a potentially pointless final.

There is no way this should have been delayed until next Tuesday like, I know the statement says it may be earlier but it likely won’t be knowing the EFL.

The charge was brought to Southampton a while ago and the second leg was played on Tuesday. Should have been a hearing set date by tomorrow at the very latest imo.

Think it’s likely Southampton remain in the playoff final with the short four-day turnaround from hearing to the final. It’ll be a heavy fine and suspended points deduction.
