Forthcoming gigs.

Just back from cracking weekend with daughter (no).
Rev and the Makers in Sheffield Friday night, class as always
Rounded off by going to the pop up shop in Meadowhall on Sat and meeting Jon himself and getting some pics with him!
Sat night Royston Club at Manchester Victoria - what a venue btw, and we stayed in Hotel Football opposite Old Trafford which was brilliant as well
Royston were on form as usual, these guys cant be far from breaking thru mainstream HUGE gig cracking atmosphere
Shout to Overpass supporting them, really good as well

I remember them as they supported Edgar at the Common Room. Will be interesting to see their progression.
Been looking on the Station East's instagram and can see the gig space in videos/photos posted.

I think it's an excellent little space, with the emphasis on 'little'. Great bar, and part of an excellent Railway Quarter crawl, with minimal walking required.

Central gets some really good turns on - Robyn Hitchcock is playing upstairs in a few months.

Seen quite a few gigs in The Central and intending to go this Tuesday for an experimental line up.
Station East seems really popular pub now. Pass that way when going to the central or the sage. Can remember going in a very long time ago and it was desolate. They seem to be making a big effort with it.

Youth Killed It at Newcastle Head of Steam, Thursday night
Even better the daughter (no) just passed her driving test so i can have a few beers now and she can drive!

Saw these about 2/3yrs ago at one of them mini festival things in Sheff and really enjoyed them, cant argue at a tenner a ticket:cool:

After an empty few weeks I have three gigs before the end of the month starting next Friday.

Corella at The Ferret in Preston
Chris Hawkins Awesome Friends in Manchester including Brogeal
Peat and Diesel at Clitheroe Grand

Brògeal need to pull their finger out & put on a proper tour that comes up here. Feels like they’ve released their album & went quiet. The festival season might bring them back out

They are doing the Manchester thing on the Monday after Neighbourhood Festival in Warrington on the bank holiday Saturday and Sunday.

I feel like they haven’t toured the record enough. I preferred the songs that proceeded it like.
They did tour incessantly prior to the album release and then after the release they supported Red Rum Club on their tour. They also did a short tour with The Snuts earlier this year. I suspect that they are doing the support slots to try to build a bigger audience before touring again as headliners.

Aye, I went to the Red Rum Tour purely to see them. You’d have thought for such a young band they’d be writing the next record now. I’m all up for a proper small venue tour like.

Still pissed off the bass player told me if I messaged them on Instagram theyd play Pop Recs. Announced Cluny 2 shortly after I messaged

Anybody want 2 tickets for Leisure Society at the Cluny tomorrow night (Sunday)?

We've decided that Handsome Family & Danny George Wilson at the Glasshouse is the one for us.

Iron Maiden next Saturday night in Athens.
Def Leppard, Belfast and Metallica x2 nights in Dublin, both in June.
Iron Maiden, Knebworth in July.

With regards to Def Leppard, I'm contemplating offloading my ticket after hearing some of the Vegas shows. Not good at all.

Just waiting on The Wildhearts to confirm more shows for later in the year and see where those take me.

I think they are at Storming The Castle at Witton Castle in the summer
