Jobi McAnuff

He’s one of the few who actually knows what he’s talking about when it comes to individual clubs and players, outside of the top 5 or 6 in the PL as evidently goes to games and puts a lot of work in - as opposed to the usual cliche-ridden bilge rolled-out.
That should be rewarded imo.

I think Prutton is good as well.

Jobi has played the game at all levels, including representing Jamaica, Captaining Reading to the Championship title, and playing in the Prem, and he stepped up as player/manager at Leyton Orient.
He is also a pretty nice guy, knowledgeable and funny but with no ego problem. He does his homework and presents his insight without any obvious bias. His work as a pundit reflects how he was as a player and is as a man; a straight arrow.

Probably the best there is. Meanwhile Rooney sounds like he’s reading from a script whenever I’ve heard him speak on television.

I’m also calling it now he’s really 50

Excellent pundit.. talks sense and can’t believe he’s not been picked up by Prem league programmes.
Could easily replace the likes of Rooney and Micah Richards.
Probably because he made about 5% of his appearances in the Premier League as a player. And yes, I do think that matters, as we’ve seen this season they may as well be different sports at times.

He’s very good - unlike the ‘bigger’ names who are bloody awful and probably get paid a lot more, based on their playing career

There is n assumption from Sky, BBC etc that the viewer is stupid and they will only respond to people they have seen before, regularly in the PL.

Whilst some viewers are indeed, thick as whale spunk, that shouldn’t be to the detriment of those who appreciate the type of insight JM provide.

As I have said before , at the playoffs finals I was sat behind his wife and son, lovely lass , she told me he loves coming to our games, SOL is his favourite ground and our fans the best he has seen.
He is a rarity among pundits . Modest ,fair and not full of Londoncentric crap.

Totally agree, also think Lee Hendrix should be Co-commenting on bigger games instead of the usual Smith (Arsenal), Carragher (Liverpool) and Neville (Man U) bias. He’s always balanced and doesn’t try to be a comedian agreeing with everything the main commentator says ie. Ally McCoist.

While I’m on, I’m also sick of the “Spurs Show with Jamie O’hara” that’s on every day.
