It disrupts the atmosphere, affects the players and other fans, it looks terrible, and it's just not what supporters should do imo. Other teams fans dont do it why do we on such a scale? Spurs didnt do it last night for example.Genuine question -
Why do you care? I am curious
I've really no idea about other clubs, but perhaps we have added complications which impact on those leaving at full time compared to others (perhaps not).It disrupts the atmosphere, affects the players and other fans, it looks terrible, and it's just not what supporters should do imo. Shocking public transport for a night match.ie frequency of the metro back to the toon where I catch my bus back down the road at 23-50..I've really no idea about other clubs, but perhaps we have added complications which impact on those leaving at full time compared to others (perhaps not).
1. None existent public transport for evening matches after 10pm and no guarantee that you'll even be able to get on a train.
2. No traffic control measures to accelerate the thousands and thousands of cars all using a few key routes out of the city.
3. Massive choke points when trying to exit the stadium I.e. from the upper bowl.
4. A larger than average number of supporters travelling well out of the city.
Is leaving 5 minutes early going to cut a long journey by an hour typical for other grounds?
Marra, to get back to York, you'd have to leave at least 10 minutes before the final whistle and even then have to jog over the bridge. Pathetic train service.Shocking public transport for a night match.ie frequency of the metro back to the toon where I catch my bus back down the road at 23-50..
Not this again!
It’s boring. Just let it go for gods sake.
Never understood it. People say they aren't bothered and can do what they like yet they're always posting their 'excuses' for it which 9/10 times are absolute bollocksWhatever people's excuses for it are it doesn't take away from the fact it looks embarrassing and the players and club obviously think it's a problem.
I’m not saying people can’t do as they please. But there’s no getting away from the fact it’s embarrassing for the club when the ground is half empty by 85 mins, especially when we’re getting a resultIts all the time isn't it.
Boring and pathetic
"Excuses"
Not from me.
Ill do as I please and certainly wouldn't be offering an excuse.

About time the mods merged the multiple early leavers threads this place is infected with.
Beyond tedious now.
It’s boring, but sad that it’s always an issue. Not this again!

I think it is all related to the absolute gridlock trying to get away from the stadium. We've resolved it previously, but there doesn't seem to be any interest in doing so again.I don't think anyone cares if limited groups of fans drift off but there's no denying the mass exodus from the SOL is a. one of if not they worse in the league and b. detrimental to the club brand and probably team performance. It's completely valid for fans who care about the performance of the team and perception of the club in the media ask why so many people feel they're willing to miss 10-20% of the game which they've paid good money for? There's obviously something fundamentally wrong with the match day experience if 5-15k+ people aren't seeing the value of staying. By asking the question and hopefully getting answers then it's the start of putting it right. Obviously if the answer is that we need more facilities then it's quicker to put right than if we need to get the Government to build a bypass or put on more trains to York.
It’s sometimes easier to get home if you stay til the end!I think it is all related to the absolute gridlock trying to get away from the stadium. We've resolved it previously, but there doesn't seem to be any interest in doing so again.
