Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

Exactly.
As my lad said "The match is on a knife edge..."
We were on the brink of beating ManU who are a Champions League side and one of the biggest clubs in the world. I could understand if we were losing to MK Dons or Plymouth in days gone by, but we deserved to win that game and the Lads deserved a big hand at the end.
Just remember as you sneak out early, the real fans think you are miserable bassas and a waste of a ticket!

And it's up to the rest of us to hold our opinions too. Every week if need be.
Move on yourself if you're bored.

If we'd scored after 90 mins to win it 1-0 , it probably would have been the 4th best moment of the entire season , behind mags X2 and Chelsea away

Imagine watching us all season and choosing to miss that to get out 3 mins early

Are you saying that it takes you 90 minutes to get to the A19 roundabout if you leave at full time?

That's the bit I can't get my head around.

I understand that you get home much earlier if you leave the game a bit early. But... so what? Surely 10 additional minutes supporting your team is better than 30 or 40 additional minutes on the couch?

I mean, why not just stay at home? You'll beat everyone in the Very Important Getting Home Race that way.
Honest mate, done it a few times and learned my lesson. Can easily be 30 mins in the park and ride queue, 30 mins on the bus to the retail park and 30 mins in the car on wessy way. No exaggeration at all.

With a wet kid in tow I lean back on the fact I do usually stay til the end and anyone who doesn't like it can whistle. Its a crap way to spend an hour and a half for the sake of 5 minutes of football.

Its upto you to "Hold your opinions" 😂😂

You crack on every week if it floats your boat.
Same as whenever I want to leave early.
I will do. Without a 2nd thought for your opinion

😂

Backatcha! But the vast majority of RTG posters know what you are like.

Well bonny lad....
Shall I educate you. The vast majority of RTG posters and you will only ever "know" what i post on here which is a completely different version of me in "real life" compared to a fictional Internet message board "world"

Bless you

😊😊

But surely that wouldn't be fair on folk that want/need to use the metro that haven't been to the match?
It's a public service - not just for match goers
I do agree, without a more constant stream of metros at the end of a game I just don't see a solution though.

I'm in the same boat, my lad has ADHD and can be a nightmare sometimes if the match isn't entertaining. Saturday I left at full time, 20 minutes in the P&R queue, 30 minutes on the on bus to the last stop and then 20 minutes to get into Washington if I go around Castle Town then up Ferry Boat lane and then around the back of Nissan.
Leave 5 minutes early and it'll take us half of the time to get home.

Am I ok to leave 15 mins early against Chelsea as engineering works are been carried out that weekend and it's 3 trains + a bus replacement to get me back for last orders.

You and your lad come first, you don’t have to justify your actions to anyone but yourself, never mind some of the nuggets on here.

If you like leaving things early, you’ll be really surprised by what planet Taylor is on in planet of the apes, what Bruce Willis is in the sixth sense, who keyser soze really is, why Nicole Kidman and her children stay out of the light in the others, what Soylent Green is made from and the identity of the corpse in Saw

I’ll have a pint of what you’ve been drinking.

We parked in southwick, 20 mins walk to the SoL. Can your kid walk that far? Take a change of clothing in the car for them?

Mine is a teenager but he has a waterproof jacket and he’s been acclimatised to poor weather.

After leaving at full time, the satnav sent us through Castletown to miss the traffic back to the A19. Home for 9pm (170 mile journey with a pit-stop at services).

Those 5 minutes could be the best moments of the season . Memories that your child will never forget .
I bet your child never says to you , remember those fantastic times when we got in the house at 1705 .

Probably remembers what he eats at half time rather than the football at his age .
