Definitely - it will be a hard sell to other strikers.
But it may be they don't trust Wilson enough to bring him on for a chunk of time. It tends to be last 10 minutes he gets, rare does he come on at 60/65 minutes. If they find a better option you might see him rotate more.
Here's hoping because we are going to need to find a way to score more goals next season. I think having proper wingers will help instead of midfielders playing out wide, but we do need to find someone who can rotate/play alongside Brobbey.
Personally, I think Wilson and Brobbey could have been a quite lethal partnership tbh, but Regis tends to lean towards a more cautious approach, which (to be fair) has got us where we are. He's probably going to have to switch that up a bit next season with more rotation and being a bit more adaptable.
Man City have too many quality players on the bench, such as Foden, who has just signed a new contract.
Even if you’re unhappy about sitting on the bench, you have to work harder and fight your way back into the team. A new season is coming up, so everyone gets a fresh start — especially with new players arriving who may suit the system better.
Come on fella, comparing us to Man City is just plain daft mate and bring up Foden, who's played plenty of football this season to Wilson is just a bit bizarre!
I agree, players do have to work hard, but we don't set up to play to Wilsons strengths. Brobbey isn't really in the team for his goal scoring, he's there to play with his back to goal and hold the ball up for others.
If that's how Regis wants to continue to play, there's little point in buying another striker that likes the ball infront of him.
