He's a very good defensive RB that can cover LB and CB when part of a 3 man pairing.

His weakness' seem to be defensive heading and top speed that will limit his ceiling.

Going forward, he can't pass, can't play through balls, is not Incisive, doesn't really overlap or break forward.

Spot on assessment. Don't think people appreciate the role he's being asked to do. I'm not even sure I fully understand it myself but for me, he's not there as an attacking threat but to cover for when Mukiele etc goes forward. I'm still not convinced it's the right thing to do but who am I to question the professor! Ha
 
He isn’t anyway near as good a RB as Nordi or Gerty
He doesnt have the required touch of a midfield or creative player
He gave the ball away too many times under no pressure sometimes in dangerous positions
Thankfully the other 9 outfield players are able to paint over these deficiencies
People of course defend him and still wax lyrically over those tackles on Brererton Diaz and Rodgers.
He puts in 100 % every game and never hides and is reliable to plug a hole eg in last 15 minutes of a game. I just don’t believe he has what is required to be a starter
 
He is not a midfielder by any stretch but he’s being asked to play a role which probably goes unnoticed.

I would have thought Le Bris opted for him in there to combat Cunha, and to be fair, our right hand side was very strong and gave nowt away.

To get a winger with quality at both ends of the pitch, can be up and down both offensivley and defensivley your probably needing to spend 50M+ for someone proven.

Humes remarkable for where hes come from in League One.

Sorry like but he aint an outstanding defender. Whenever he comes up against anyone with pace he normally leaves a trailing leg and gives a free kick away. Hes gave daft pens away during his time here. Weve seen the last few weeks he hasnt even jumped to challenge a cross and we have conceded. He was carried yesterday by a great team performance but we have so many better options than him in that position. A more attack minded manager would have chose a better option and we may have won that yesterday.
 
Yesterday was the first time in a long time where the team actually looked balanced and Hume was part of that.

We were fluid, and the set up helped players move positions in the game, you seen were Geertruida ended up on the 2nd half right??

I'd keep that selection the same for the remaining games.
 
We’re stuffing square pegs into round holes for the same reasons jockeys are asked to hold horses back in the buildup to bog races. It’s obvious to anyone with eyes. We can all make a killing at the bookies next season and upgrade to posher STs for the start of the 27/28 season allowing the fairweather/newbie/tourists to take up the slack in the new stand seats.

So you think a team that struggles for goals can afford to play Hume there when he struggles to find a team mate with a simple pass, can't beat a man, run very fast or score a goal ? He fills a space and helps defensively, even allows others to push forward, but come the summer I would like us to sign an attacking player for that position.

I'm not saying he's crap, he's a handy utility player, but we've got to get some goalscorers in our team somewhere, our cms don't score and our cf is hardly prolific (partly because the wide midfielders don't give him any service)

He’s a very good RB, and has been better at RB than Gerty this season and arguably Nordi who’s best position is CB imo).

He isn’t a midfielder and shouldn’t be playing there, although we’ve just massively outplayed Man U with him playing there.

No more, no less. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves for how you go on over him.

Has he not already come along way from a raw young player from non league irish football to a solid dependable premier league player all be it inexperienced at this level but with also great and important experience in international football, has he not earned that right to continue his journey at a club he clearly gets and gives everything for or are we to just dump him at the 1st opportunity to spend a fortune on some one seeing us as a stepping stone, been getting annoyed of hearing Granit proclaiming we need to stay humble but actually he's very very f***ing correct

Its about opinions but what you state there about being better at right back than Gerty and arguably Nordi has no foundation at all. Ive already pointed out numerous issues this season even in his right position, but for you to suggest what you have is rediculous imo
 
He's good at lots of aspects of the game without being particularly outstanding at any. I actually prefer him further forward because one limitation he hasn't been able to fix is getting burned for pace on the outside when he's at RB.
 
Solid, dependable,brave and a real team player. Great attributes but remains to be seen what business we do this summer as to what his future is. If its true someone is offering thirty million I'd be preparing the Trai Hume farewell video.

Gives the ball away a hell of a lot particularly when he drifts into midfield. As you say he’s not a midfielder or a RW. He’s a RB and moving forward if he can’t play there because there’s someone better than him in that position for me he doesn’t play. Lads a team player and 100% should be kept though. I like him but I like nordi more.
 
Hoping he’s mainly a bench warmer/backnup next year as it means we’ve upgraded and stopped playing him in midfield

Has done amazingly well but hoping for an upgrade

Had me foaming at the time. You need quality when in those positions, Hume just doesn’t have it
