Enzo

If Xhaka hadn’t been on the pitch we would have lost that game by 2 goals at least.
Le Fee is à fine player but not in the same class as Xhaka
Could say the same about any of the defence in terms of losing the game. Le Fee and Xhaka play different positions with different strengths, but they are definitely in the same class so not sure why you see such a gulf.

I think Xhaka, Le Fee, Mukiele, Reinildo, maybe even Ballard and Alderete, can all be considered in Xhaka’s class for their position.

Aye. Daft to compare the two. Le Fee can't do what Xhaka does and Xhaka couldn't do what Le Fee does but they are both absolutely class.

We look a better side with ELF in the middle rather than Diarra. Not that Diarra is a bad player, we just link up better with ELF’s quicker speed of play, from memory he set up 3/4 clear cut chances yesterday as well.

Was that a tactical choice by RLB or has Diarra carried a knock/illness recently.

Said it since the start of the season.

We’re a much better side, and much more of a threat, with Enzo in the middle and literally anyone else out wide.

He’s been hugely wasted.
For me we should be playing a 541/532 system without wingers and letting the wingbacks give the width. Lets you get Enzo in the hole and someone like Diarra or Isidor (depending how you want to orient the midfield) get close to Brobbey with their running power. Choice doesn’t have to be one or the other when you can have both in the side. Our wingers are pretty shit anyway tbh.

Enzo offers more graft than Diarra and against a CL place finishing team that’s required. Hopefully Diarra is capable of taking this on board.
It was Utds team selection that hinted at knocks and/or illness imho. Mount frinstance wadnt get in our CM and I think mebbes Carrick was trying to show their lack of depth but JR doesn’t seem to be the sort that can take a hint.

Its unfortunate but diarra has to make way for Enzo. Diarra ego won't be benched so he will be flogged.

I remember in the Championship he was 'so-so'. But we all said 'Maybe he'll do better in the prem' and boy, he is !

You could tell he had something about him but because Mundle and his other winger colleagues were hopeless at staying fit (or in some cases just shit) we played him out of position to do a job. Hardly surprising that a player who hadn't played much for a while, in a completely alien country to him and with a different pace of football struggled to immediately adapt while being played in a position he'd not played before. He started looking incredibly good in his proper position just as Diarra came back from injury so we bizarrely moved him away again despite how well he was playing.
