strong feeling Geertruide could cover Granit in time , hes got the temperament and the timing . Big shoes to fill but i think he could cover as a make do while getting minutes covering RB/CB . .
The left back is a must we have zero civer for a 30+ year old player .
An oven ready right winger is a strange one , we rely so much on players doing the work coming back that a really destructive one that can do that will be hard to find in our price range.
We do need the CB to wholly replace Luke as an option ( sorry marra but youve had your fantasy season and you were very welcome to it ) and cover an injury prone Ballard . We basically need a left sided Mukiele to cover Alderete and Rienaldo

1. Not many about, expensive, are they going to play instead of Brobbey?

2. Yeah I agree, I’ve a feeling the club will be hoping Jocelin or Angulo are going to come good though.

3. Yep, Cirkin is no doubt off

4. I’d try and get Norgaard out of Arsenal, play him with Xhaka

5. Probably the least difficult to get in

I agree with 2-5 but don’t think we necessarily need another striker. Think the ones we have can develop further, it’s not exactly as if they grow on trees, and if we had number 2 then that helps number 1 massively anyway. It’s the quality out wide we’re really lacking - for all of our good play yesterday, Hume and Talbi stood out as a sore thumb for not being productive at all really. I can’t help but like Talbi and think there’s potential there, but you look at other wingers up and down this league and they’re all different class to him. If we had Harry Wilson, for example, then we’d 100% be in Europe this season.

Guertruida is an absolute must sign for me. I think it’s borderline disgraceful the way we’re treat him this season honestly - think he’s a top quality player and showed it again yesterday after being quality against the mags then disappearing for a month. And the fact he plays 10 positions makes him worth his weight in gold. Should have been the obvious one to step into Xhakas shoes when he was out, instead of disrupting half the team with the reshuffle too.

If WH take the drop I wouldn't mind Mavropanos if the price wasnt daft . Prime age , been around , danger at set pieces

Only one top quality winger? That implies we’ve already got one on the other side good enough to press for Europe/Domestic Cups? We haven’t got a winger good enuff on either side. Which is why RLB has been shoehorning Enzo and Riggy in to get the neccesary graft reqd in the PL from a winger if not the neccesary craft.
Two quality ready made wingers have to bethe number one priority this summer if no one moves on.
 
I don't disagree with most of the above, but an important factor to remember in all of this... the team is very young and I reckon we can expect at least a few of them to hit new levels next season after a rest.

Talbi is raw but he's absolutely got *it* and reckon he could be one who will keep growing into a superstar.
 
What we need is 18 months for a lot of the squad. Talbi, Rigg, Sadiki, Diarra, Angulo, Mayenda and Ta Bi are all still eligible for U21 football. Some of them are going to develop. Maybe one more wide player?
We do need additions at CB and at LB. Even if Rigg progresses as we all imagine, we've only got five for three midfield positions (Xhaka, Le Fee, Sadiki, Rigg and Diarra). If Isidor goes, a third striker option.
In summary:
LB, CB, CM, winger, possibly a CF.

Second - someone to challenge Brobbey for the no. 9 shirt. (Openda)

Third - midfield option, esp. one who can play the holding role if/when Xhaka not in the side. (Avdullahu)

Fourth - sign Geertruida

After that.

Back up left back, Lucumi, third choice no. 9

That's a very rough outline, defence is tough so don't read owt into Mukiele as a backup. Injuries, suspensions etc etc. There are also options beyond these but went for two players in every position.

I think a box office RW and striker (should be our two priorities) to go straight in. After that, competition for LB/CB and a Xhaka understudy. Five players in, trim the fat, get some cash for Isidor - would be delighted.

The lad does his best but just doesnt have one particular aspect to his game that stands out to make him worthy of starting

I’m a fan of Hume but have to say his stock is waning, shame really but there is no place for sentiment in top flight football.
