Mayenda discussion thread

he’s played out of position nearly all seaso when he’s came on and people right him off , yet isador has had more then enough chances and when he’s not good enough it’s cos he’s missing his family 🤣🤣🤣
For me he is in a mood cos he lost his place and that proves what we have with him and the whole missing his family well you know what get them moved over here, we will be paying him enough to sort that out

I really like him as a player as he is so difficult to read and is one of those players that seems to cause chaos in opposition boxes. His overall game though needs improving if he is to shift someone of Brobbeys talents and that won’t happen any time soon. I don’t think coming off the bench in premier league games is a bad thing for him right now, but as with a lot of young players they aren’t so patient and that is where I think Mayenda will be considering options for his career this summer and those options will also include a move away from Sunderland to get regular games. It’s a tricky one, but i personally think a loan to a top division team is what he should be looking at for next season. That’s just my opinion.

I think this season has been basically wasted for him.

On the pitch, I think youre right. Though he has proven he can score in the premiet league which is a mental barrier for a lot of young strikers.

Im hoping that off the pitch he has learned a lot from brobbey. Or maybe even Traore.

I kind of agree.

Unless im wrong and he somehow qualifies as home grown in which case we should keep him in our squad
